Now I've done it...
« on: June 25, 2012, 08:12:35 AM »
I've gone and brought home rifles chambered in 5.56 x 45, 7.62 x 51, and .303 British.  I need to find deals on all of the above so I can get started with the whole sighting-in-and-making-my-peace project.  Looks like a full summer!

The goal was to cherry pick my father-in-law's collection before he liquidated it, taking only rifles in calibers I already owned, with the exception of a 7.62 x 51 Mauser I couldn't pass up.  But being there, seeing these rifles that he had worked to hard to collect, and imagining them going to sit on the shelf at some Texas pawn shop was too much to bear.  So I ended up bringing home more than I intended, in calibers I never intended.  And there were still many more that it broke my heart to leave behind, but I'm already scratching my head as to where I will store the ones I did buy.
