Helped a buddy sight-in and I looked at the carry handle as it was odd looking compared to my Compass Lake upper. Took his off and saw the UTG mark underneath as there was no forge mark. Mine has a square forge mark with a 1/4 x 1/4 min hooded sight built by CLE. The UTG was definitely not up to any specs out there; I doubt it was even forged. There were tactile clicks but they are meaningless if the threads are not precise.  I suspect dead clicks. Bottom line, for what he paid for it you can get a used Colt off ar15.com. You can even get it pinned for about $70.

They ok.  But the scary part is the have fake UTG stuff out there. I am a UTG rep. I can look at it
To see if we can fix the issue.
