First off we have to stop saying crazy because that is in no way technical enough or even proper term for the issue. There is no legal or mental health term crazy.
If someone is "crazy" (generalization for the sake of discussion) then appropriate authorities can gather information and present the case to the courts to decide whether the person should have some of their rights taken away. Even that lacks details though. Different jurisdictions are coming up with different ways of addressing that.
Not sure why you say don't talk to cops. Someone steals your stuff or assaults you cops are going to be the ones to catch the bad guy or get you your stuff back when possible. They are also going to be the first ones to give you CPR if you are having a heart attack. Shooting yourself in the foot if you think not talking or cooperating with cops is your best option.
As far as "there is no solution", well I am not going to give up that easily. Maybe it would be better to say there is no easy solution.

Most likely it will be the fire dept giving me CPR at an accident, my Ticker is in very good shape.
The "someone" that steals my stuff has more problems than they will believe. I don't live on Oahu.
All my stuff is old and not worth much.
Cops don't catch anybody. Most guys here turn themselves in.
I'm a pretty good shot and I would not shoot myself.
Cops are the lowest form of life, even a lawyer is a better.
An agent of the government legally carrying a gun that can shoot
anybody or deprive me of my freedom
whenever he/she feels like it, with no personal responsibility, or
oversight is my enemy, not a friend.
