Senators don't co-sponsor bills in the House.

EDIT: Both are co-sponsors of Feinstein's S66 Assault Weapons Ban of 2019 though.

Pretty sure the SCOTUS has already weighed in on this one right?

Problem is they could pass a bill into law and say fuckem to the citizens. Then wait for lawsuits. Like how hawaii does.

That's a common, if mostly unstated, theme of the anti-rights crusaders. It's lurking in the "no one needs an assault weapon" statement, but is most blatant in the use of the term "commonsense" (which has also been used by those in the rights advocates community who oppose one aspect or another of open carry). It implies, being termed "common", that anyone who does not share that particular belief does NOT have "commonsense", and is thus defective to one degree or another, as anyone "normal" would obviously agree with what is obviously "commonsense". All part of the agenda to "otherize" people preferring to be able to keep and bear arms in order that they may eventually be deemed criminals or mentally incompetent or mentally ill for holding those views (watch for the "interpretation" of red flag flags to creep in that direction). It's worked in many socialist/communist regimes where squashing any dissent is of paramount importance, both to stop it's spread and to demonstrate the iron fist. I'd guess Green is there, but won't say so publicly.

As we have seen in Hawaii,
Democrats want to disarm you so
they can force you to do what they
think is best for them.
I don't think people in America are
as stupid as
Chinese, Germans, Ukrainians, and
Cambodians just to name a few
where massive numbers of people
were killed by Democratically "elected"
governments.
The biggest threat to my heath, safety, and welfare
is a Democrat dominated government.
History backs me up.
For Example in America, Civil war( slavery based economy)
 and WWII Japanese camps.

Even if they passed a law and said you must turn in your guns, you no need obey.  The TMT protesters set the precedent and the state showed they really don’t have the guts or manpower to enforce something that even 1500 people refuse to do.

I assume you are a Big island sort of guy.
What you say is true for the Big  Island and probably
most other outer islands.
However All the money is in Oahu and they do
whatever the Democrat party dictates.
Every gun in Hawaii is registered,
just takes a Josh Green Governor to order
confiscation.  He will, no doubt in my mind.
Soap box, ballot box, Ammo box.

I am on the BI in a remote section of Puna.  I had couple BI people who came to my house say that I live in the “boonies.”  Oahu would get gun confiscation first because that would be the easiest place to start.  BI would be the hardest because of a lot of remote areas and the sheer volume of the land area to cover.

Clare E. Connors, Attorney General Julie Ebato, Administrator
May 2019,

Total registrations of all islands for 2018 was  43,033
C&C of Honolulu   26,282
Hawaii County          8,537

Between 2000 and 2018 442,960 firearms have been registered in the state.   :o

I heard on the news something about recovery crews need to clear certain areas by a certain date or risk losing federal funding.  Something about those crews are trying to clear lava that had blocked many roads, but it's still too hot to safely clear.  That the temps are around 700 F in many locations.  I would've assumed that those lava fields would be same temp as the surrounding/original land.

Anyways  :stopjack:

Yeah, but 440,000 of those have been a couple dozen guys trading the same Ruger 10/22s back and forth.

In some places the lava over the old road (they are trying to re-establish the same roadway since parts of it are NOT covered) is well over 20 feet thick... that's a LOT of pahoehoe insulation... :stopjack:

The "TMT protestors" are getting a pass to break the law because of the racist policy that they are special and thus deserve (more) special treatment based upon some "blood quantum" or other racist criteria. Otherwise, not so much special treatment.

I have ancestors who fought in the Revolutionary War.  That gives me special status to resist gun confiscation.
