What would happen if I take it to HPD and they deem it illegal like the shockwave?  Jail time, confiscation?

Okay I'm not seeing how this is legal in Hawaii.  Might be legal under federal laws, but it still looks illegal under Hawaii state law as Hawaii has no definition of "antique firearm".
Join the Hawaii Firearms Coalition at www.hifico.org.  Hawaii's new non-profit gun rights organization focused on lobbying and grassroots activism.

AFAIK, there's no exemption for silencers if the unit is welded to the barrel. Maybe in Kentucky...

If they are designed to be fired using loose black powder i.e. Muzzle loader. They do not require registration.

Still illegal in Hawaii,

Silencers are illegal, A muzzle loader is still a firearm in Hawaii and all laws apply except registration.

That's what I told SilencerCo.

So don't have to bring the muzzle loader into HPD for registration. My question is what would HPD do if they observed the rifle in the home, range, or out hunting? Would they care? Would they only confiscate? Would it be a felony conviction? Maybe but who would try it?

I emailed SilencerCo and told them to read HRS134-8 and call the AG and HPD to confirm in writing since they advertise "50 state legal".  I also told them the issues with the Shockwave.

Still loud. I was watching a movie and it had a silencer which was quieter than that.

You mean it identifies as a smoke reducer.

A valid point in that HRS does not define "deadening or muffling". Does attempt to deaden or muffle count as a class C felony for the owner?
