Off Topic / State of the Forum (My Opinion)

As I come back from my ban, I had time for some reflection. Not only to reflect upon myself but on this site. How hypocritical some on this forum are. Many here bash liberals for being liberal. But the second someone "bashes" someone for their religious opinions that’s somehow a no-go zone? Reminds me of no gun zones for snowflakes. If you don't treat others as snowflakes don't be prepared to be treated as one. If you “attack” others for certain beliefs, be prepared for others to do the same to you. Look at the Trump topics. Some here complain of TDS then proceed to do the same thing for Biden. This is a private site so these actions are allowed but it should be highlighted as special rules. Don't pretend to be something you are not. This is not truly a forum for the 1st amendment. This is not about protecting free speech. This is about protecting certain free speech. Also protecting certain feelings. The ability to bash liberals, tout religion and troll the non-believers/conformists. But the second the non-believers "post back” they are to be attacked and banned. If some members are allowed to "troll" and "attack" others but not the other way around that’s not quite a fair system. If in one post you make critiques about someone's political thoughts, someone can do the same for your religious/etc thoughts. I don't see much "respect" for some political opinions. If you want religion to be a protected zone and thou shall not attack religion make it clear. Don't protect peoples "feelings” under the guise of "trolling". Then attacking Islam and religious terrorism should technically be protected the same. Unless you make the rule just for Christian religion. I am looking for specific clarity. When you generalize the rules and interpret them based on your opinions is near impossible for people to follow. Especially if you don't have the same mindset as those interpreting the "rules". Someone’s troll might be someone’s spokesperson. It depends on what side you are on. Everything is getting too partisan. This forum is transforming into the next Facebook. The Facebook this forum supposedly “hates”.
A fun example of the hypocrisy is if someone posted anything positive of Biden or being anti-gun. A bunch of people would attack such person and maybe infer they are an “idiot”. But if anyone did the same thing about people believing in their religion, they get banned?
Dish out only what you can receive. If you can’t receive criticisms on your beliefs don’t criticize others on theirs. Treat others how they treat you. If they are nice, be nice back. If not, then be free to do the same back. Just like self-defense. Don’t expect special treatment.
I will try navigating this new mine field and best conform to its moderators’ opinions and rules. Just getting my opinions out there in an attempt to improve this site. Embrace the 1st amendment objective. This is why even hate speech is free speech. Just as the 2nd and all the other amendments of our important constitution. Protect everyone’s FREEDOM and RIGHTS. Even if you don’t believe in them.
