Off Topic / State of the Forum (My Opinion)
« on: December 17, 2021, 11:01:37 AM »
As I come back from my ban, I had time for some reflection.   Not only to reflect upon myself but on this site.  How hypocritical some on this forum are.  Many here bash liberals for being liberal.  But the second someone "bashes" someone for their religious opinions that’s somehow a no-go zone?  Reminds me of no gun zones for snowflakes.  If you don't treat others as snowflakes don't be prepared to be treated as one.  If you “attack” others for certain beliefs, be prepared for others to do the same to you.  Look at the Trump topics.  Some here complain of TDS then proceed to do the same thing for Biden.  This is a private site so these actions are allowed but it should be highlighted as special rules.  Don't pretend to be something you are not.  This is not truly a forum for the 1st amendment.   This is not about protecting free speech.  This is about protecting certain free speech.  Also protecting certain feelings. The ability to bash liberals, tout religion and troll the non-believers/conformists.  But the second the non-believers "post back” they are to be attacked and banned.  If some members are allowed to "troll" and "attack" others but not the other way around that’s not quite a fair system.  If in one post you make critiques about someone's political thoughts,  someone can do the same for your religious/etc thoughts.  I don't see much "respect" for some political opinions.  If you want religion to be a protected zone and thou shall not attack religion make it clear.  Don't protect peoples "feelings” under the guise of "trolling".  Then attacking Islam and religious terrorism should technically be protected the same.  Unless you make the rule just for Christian religion.  I am looking for specific clarity.  When you generalize the rules and interpret them based on your opinions is near impossible for people to follow.  Especially if you don't have the same mindset as those interpreting the "rules".  Someone’s troll might be someone’s spokesperson.  It depends on what side you are on.  Everything is getting too partisan.  This forum is transforming into the next Facebook.   The Facebook this forum supposedly “hates”.

A fun example of the hypocrisy is if someone posted anything positive of Biden or being anti-gun.  A bunch of people would attack such person and maybe infer they are an “idiot”.  But if anyone did the same thing about people believing in their religion, they get banned?

Dish out only what you can receive.   If you can’t receive criticisms on your beliefs don’t criticize others on theirs.  Treat others how they treat you.   If they are nice, be nice back.  If not, then be free to do the same back.  Just like self-defense.   Don’t expect special treatment.

I will try navigating this new mine field and best conform to its moderators’ opinions and rules.  Just getting my opinions out there in an attempt to improve this site.  Embrace the 1st amendment objective.  This is why even hate speech is free speech.  Just as the 2nd and all the other amendments of our important constitution.  Protect everyone’s FREEDOM and RIGHTS.   Even if you don’t believe in them.

Political Discussion / Texas abortion law will destroy gun rights
« on: November 01, 2021, 09:32:06 AM »
Ready for a told you so post.   The supreme court if they side with Texas and allowing their abortion law will utterly destroy 2a.  Liberal states (like ours) will enact gun control en mass not by laws banning them but allowing others to sue you for having firearms.  Same idea.  The not so smart conservatives are so utterly horse blinders on this issue.  Imagine a world where you get sued for 10k for having a gun, but hey that's not against the law or the 2nd ammendment.

Why can't everyone be like Manchin...he might be one of my favorite politicians right now.

The wonderful political center.  F the 2 party system.  Instead of samethink echochambers why don't we allow people to actually use their brain.

Off Topic / Suicide and Euthanasia
« on: October 14, 2021, 06:12:37 AM »
*Trigger warning*
This thread may deal with topics some snowflakes might not like.  There is NO celebration in this thread.  Just to be sure there are no misunderstandings.  Got banned previously because of misunderstandings/ the unknown and wasn't able to fully debate this topic.

Do you support or are you against Suicide and Euthanasia?

Recently there has been discussions about ones rights to their own body.  Either the vaccine or abortion.  Republicans have had many hypocritical stances and to a lesser extent the democrats too.   Suicide or euthanasia is a decision that only affects one self.  Either action can't harm another person,  is not spreadable or even remotely considered to affect a potential "life" ("like abortion").   So if purely you believe that one has the right to refuse the vaccine because of dominion over ones own body, would you also support suicide or euthanasia?   If not why?   Is it a religious thing?    Morals?  Insurance?

Also for those who can't understand, suicide or euthanasia is not a 2a topic.  Has nothing to do with guns or should have nothing to do with guns.  Guns are tools.  Much like the many other tools.  Its unrelated to the topic.   We don't blame buildings for being too tall after all.  :shaka:

Political Discussion / GOP Future
« on: January 06, 2021, 10:33:04 PM »
Ding Dong the Trump is gone~  :geekdanc: :shaka: :D
I am happy to see him go, but sad to see who replaced him.

On Jan 20 its official we have a borderline senile president.
Congress has ratified the electors votes and Biden is the next president.

That being said the serious subject happens next....what will GOP do.  2022/4 might be last chance to set the course for this nation,  the last chance to defend 2a rights.  I see 3 options.

1) Reject Trump
2) Support Trump
3) Split

If they reject Trump they need to find their new identify after Trump tore apart the current GOP base and alienated the independents.  They need to find new leaders and representatives of the new/reformed GOP identity. This in my mind is the best chance to take back the country from the democrats.

If they support Trump they will be supporting the failure of a president who lost the GOP, the house, senate and presidency.  They lost the presidency to a borderline senile old man....they have no real future and many GOP "old school" people will dump the party so will many independents.  This might lead to a democrat banana republic like Hawaii.

If they split we might get more options with voting which is great but if the democrats don't split we will still end up with a democrat banana republic.

Off Topic / SolarWinds hack
« on: December 20, 2020, 09:59:11 AM »
The SolarWinds Orion platform hack is slowly turning out to be one of the most significant hacks in recent years.

Currently, the SolarWinds security breach has been linked to hacks at US security firm FireEye, the US Treasury Department, and the US Department of Commerce's National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA).

The hack is, however, expected to be much, much worse. Forbes reported today that SolarWinds is a major contractor for the US government, with regular customers including the likes of CISA, US Cyber Command, the Department of Defense, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Department of Homeland Security, Veterans Affairs, and many others.

In addition, FireEye, which is investigating the incident as part of its own security breach, said the attackers also compromised targets all over the world, and not just in the US, including governments and private sector companies across several verticals.

Citing industry sources, Reuters reported today that despite a broad install base for the Orion platform, the attackers appear to have focused only on a small number of high-value targets, leaving most Orion customers unaffected.

So far everyone is blaming Russia, but wait there's more...Trump just came out that it wasn't Russia.  Almost the entire cyber security community believes it was Russia.  But not Trump.  Guess he is either playing 9000 dimensional chess, is a moron or is still Putin's bitch.

Political Discussion / It's finally over

This marks the end to this election fiasco.

The house and senate has acknowledged president elect Biden.  The electors voted for Biden.  There is no path to victory for trump. Lets all move on and start focusing on the future. Don't be hypocrites and act like the stupid democrats did for the last 4 years.  Let the court cases play out.  Senate seats in Georgia need to go republican or we are fucked.

Political Discussion / Georgia Senate showdown
« on: November 21, 2020, 03:09:47 PM »
As we all know Georgia and its 2 senate seats are up for special election.  Democrats need to win both to take the senate.

This brings me to this article.
