Well, my prediction of rail costing $10B when the expert prediction was $7.4B, got blown out of the water today. New estimate is $12.4B and 10 more years to complete.  At this time I will make another prediction.  $17B will be wasted and it will not be completed in the next 12 years.  By completed I mean all the way to Ala Moana like the original plan called for and HART is still trying to accomplish. 

I have two generators, a loud 4500 watt and the quiet Honda EU3000.  Got 15 gal of gas for it, five 20 lb propane tanks full, vehicles all full, at least 30 days of food and plenty of water.  Also got a good supply of building materials to make waterproof emergency shelter if needed.  Tomorrow I am going to buy extra food for the chickens and dogs.  Other than that, pretty much set. I made a couple of generator wall outlets so I can run power inside the house without having to leave a window or door jar for the cord.  My biggest concern is my new vegetable garden getting destroyed.

If you are getting a stimulus check,  what do you plan to do with it?  My wife and I, being retired and now making no where near $150,000, should get the full amount of $2400.  After putting $1500 into savings,  I plan to get a high quality 80% aluminum billet and jig and stockpile more Mountain House food.  What are you planning to do?

So our brilliant fearless Hawaii leaders have come up with another money grabbing scheme to affect those least able to afford it.  Charging you for driving during peak times on the main highways.  HNN this morning said it takes a little over $83,000 for a family of 4 to meet basic needs on Oahu.  I can see further exodus of locals out of Hawaii.

I have been watching the news about all these Hawaiian activists who are protesting the building of the TMT.  They say Mauna Kea is sacred to their culture and they cannot allow the mountain to be further desecrated.  Once the TMT is completed, five of the other telescopes will be taken out.  To me, that would make the mountain better.  There are also a lot of people who want it built because it means jobs.  These protesters say they will be up there everyday no matter how long it takes.  A lot of them look like they are too young to be retired and I don't think they are independently wealthy.  So do they have jobs? Or are they all like one “prominent “Hawaiian activist who chained himself to the cattle guard and has spend most of his life living off the state and welfare?

Anyone here actually seen one in person?  It had a positive write up in CC magazine.  Retails for only $399 and uses clear Glock 43 magazines.  I would like to handle one before I buy my next CC pistol.  I was only considering the Sig P365 or Glock 43, but will add the Mossberg to the list.
