i've been thinking of switching optics around a bit
keep the defensive AR as is
put the LPVO 1-10 on the AR10
put the 6-24x50 on my bolt action 223
get another LPVO for the AR15 maybe a 1-6 or 1-8 to replace the 1-10 bc the 1-10 is kind of big on the AR15, but wouldn't be too bad on the AR10 since its a bigger gun.
I have gone through the "what goes on what gun" and "what do I need after that" thing a number of times.  Having an optic without a gun tends to grow into a new gun.  ;D

Check out the Vortex 1-10.  I haven't shot with it yet, but handled and looked through it and it's NIIIIIICE.   ;)  8)

If you only have 1 AR, you won't have the multi optic problem. Pake for the win.

Folks that I know who have one got them for well below MSRP, but yeah, still a bit pricey.  I was very interested in getting one, but it wasn't available in the timeline that I got my LPVO.

LPVO + 1x RDS. . . just sayin'

No, I don't have that setup.

The cheaper priced Vortex LVPOs like the Viper PST II and Strike Eagle seem pretty good. Pretty sure most average shooters wont be able to tell much difference when looking through comparing to the Razors.

Yeah.  I've shot with the Strike Eagle and a Primary Arms LPVO (I don't recall the model) and they were decent.  A friend (whom I believe you've met and shot with) likes his Strike Eagle a lot and shoots it well.  Another guy from that same group shoots the Steiner 1-4.  It's older, but is solid.

I have a Viper PST II 4-16 and I was very tempted to try one of their LPVO versions.

the older Viper PST 1-4x tracks well enough for highpower shooting.
Ordered a WOA "Distinguished Rifleman Scope" - read good reviews about it

definitely not for LARPing

If anyone has ever shot an old school AUG with the integrated scope, I really wish they made a red dot sight with that “doughnut of death” reticle.

That plain small circle is perfect, it is really easy to pick up and use quickly, yet small enough to make very accurate shots at practical 556 distance.

The RDS with 65 MOA circle dots is too large.

Acog and rmr or other offset mini red dot like the side loading battery holosuns.

+1 on steiner 1-4. Prob that or accupower had best edge to edge clarity imho. Still had very minimal fisheye effect but no way near what gen 1 viper pst had.
