Political Discussion / Re: Biden reminds Hawaii to behave

....
I was so tempted to make a joke about his name, but I decided to not hit below the belt. In less refined social circles, his name is undoubtedly the butt of many jokes. I refuse to stoop so low. I would bet my bottom dollar that he is sick and tired of all the wise cracks. In order to reach that high level of government he must have many people backing him up.

Or getting him through the back door.  :o

The standard is any arm which an infantry member might carry into combat.

The line was already drawn, and they included "weapons of war."

Don't forget, a bolt action rifle with a scope on it can be called a "weapon of war"  :shake: :shake:

How can this be.  Hawaii is the number 1 kiss a$$ for the Demokratic party that rules the once Great United States of America.

edited to add:  I think it's hilarious that the internet is all abuzz about Hawaii's Supreme Court ruling.  The spirit of Aloha supersedes the Constitution.  Only a stupid place like Hawaii would say something like this.  Mainland people are laughing and making fun of the stupid people of Hawaii.

    Where's groveler....waiting with my popcorn

I've heard that newer Toyota engines eat oil after awhile if you do not change your oil often enough.  Problem is Toyota went to low pressure piston rings.  Do a search on youtube on why you need to keep adding of 2 qt. or more of oil between oil changes for Toyota engines with no visible leaks anywhere.  Then again YMMV.

Have you seen how much he'll get when he resigns?   :wtf:  :grrr:  $17 million...At least my membership dues won't be used for this as I have not been a paying member since LaPierre's problems became known.
If the Board of Directors approved this they should all be asked to resign IMO.

I heard the guy was involved.in some bad stuff so no CCW.

someone here is going to advocate for moar redder flag laws...despite an already served TRO and firearms taken away...maybe we need a blaze orange flag law

In this case if the husband was involved in some bad stuff would it be safe to assume that he should have been prohibited from having firearms?  TRO's do not work for the criminally minded, hot tempered/aggressive(Bully), alcoholics, drugged or mentally disturbed.  IMO HPD should have locked up this guy if he showed hostility (until he is given a personality/mental assessment) when served the TRO, being that the TRO stated that she was threatened with death.

Japanese will break that cycle for US Steel and make lots of money.
Full disclosure, I spent the majority of my working life as a union member.
AFL-CIO, SPEEA, and ILWU.
Companies that were AFL-CIO and ILWU were sold off.

IMO the unions are not really working for the workers but for themselves. Think about it, the more money/benefits they can get for the workers. the more they can siphon off the workers in the form of dues, maybe even free medical for themselves.  Ever noticed that when you get new union officers they are slim and in about 5 years or so they seem to be a bit overweight (probably from all the steak dinners in the form of union meetings).  Sorry  :stopjack:

Honolulu ordinance has a thing about bb's. And a solid rubber ball/metal or like is a bb. compared to a pepper ball.

BB chart (click to enlarge).  In my opinion, in no way is a .68 dia. projectile considered a BB

Can these be used on the rifle side since it’s not steel?
If they allow it, they might say that the bottom of the target must be 5 feet high if at the 50 yard line.   :wtf:

For some reason i didnt get the skeet or trap email, but my friend did and called me about it. He said there is now a 26" barrel length minimum and no smoking. Is that correct?

Have not heard anything about that from the trap side, maybe skeet?   ???

Is the range open on Friday since it’s Veterans Day observed?

Probably not if there's no reservations for Holidays.    :wtf: :grrr: :grrr: :grrr: :grrr:

I was a government Union worker for 30 years (not really fond of Unions). One thing I hate about Unions is that they protect people who really should be fired.  Also entry level workers received the same pay as skilled old timers  :wtf: who had to teach the new guys which really sucked.

Kokohead Trap range to open on Sunday, Nov 12 to Club Members and the general public.    :geekdanc: :geekdanc:
The email that I got today.

 Aloha All,

Good News !!! Honolulu Trap Club is preparing to reopen after over a year's forced hiatus.

The trap range will be open on November 5th for Range Officers ONLY.  Please do not try to come and shoot on that day. The range officers will be checking equipment and making sure all is ready and safe for the public opening.

The trap range will open for members and the general public on Sunday, November 12th. Going forward the range will be open every Sunday from 9am - 3 pm with the proviso that if there are no shooters present, the range will close earlier. The fee is $5.00 per 25 targets for all shooters until January 1st when we will revert to member/non member rates.  Correct change is always appreciated.

Please note that some procedures have changed. There will be two separate trash cans which are clearly marked: one is for spent hulls and ammunition boxes only and the other is for everything else. This is a Department of Health requirement so please follow their rule. We also ask that you do not eat at the same bench/table where there is a likelihood of lead contamination. And it's always good practice to wash your hands before eating.

Looking forward to seeing you all at the range!!!
