General Discussion / Re: Permit line @ HPD
« on: November 15, 2023, 07:08:21 PM »
A lot of first-timers in general. First-timers almost never have all the forms filled out.

A lot of panic-buying.

I watched a very liberal looking pear shaped man come out after getting printed doing a fist pump on his way out the door. Nice to see a Democrat excitedly embracing his 2A rights.

Maybe the fumes of smokeless powder can be a gateway drug.

Went Monday 8:30A, 12th in line, only processed 2 people in an hour, only one clerk working, bailed, ten more people behind me when I left.

Went back Tuesday 30 mins before doors opened 7th in line, was in and gone within an hour, less than 10 mins inside with everything printed online and filled out. 2 clerks working.

Lots of 1st timers getting printed is the part of the hold up.

WTF is 'May have been'? That information is literally available instantly to him. Is he too lazy to type in a serial number? Dumbass has his name signed on a lot of those permits.

Deaths or not, Pestilence is one of the original signs that the leader of China has lost his Mandate from Heaven. Xi is boxed into a corner.

Also the shut down of Shanghai  and other districts has fubared farming all over the country. Fertilizer is not being off loaded from ships and seed is not being delivered to sow crops during the spring planting.

Enjoy the Karma that comes from playing Legos with parts of viri

Also not understanding why they aren't celebrating the name as Anti-Colonialists. It was where evil whitey Cook was killed, not where he first landed.

If you cancel Cook shouldn't your cancel Kamehameha the First as well?

Probably need to go rename that school up on the hill in Kalihi.

Hunter Bidens investment firm Rosemont Seneca has been tied directly to funding the Ukraine 'Biolabs'. (Along with with Fauics buddy Dasazak and Obamas DOD)

This suit is not about winning. It's about the discovery phase and forcing them to dump all their dirty laundry on the street for the public to see.

They drew a Clinton appointed judge, will be interesting to see how far it gets.

Poster boy for U.S. gun control movement kills himself in jail on DUI charge: Mark Glaze, 51, who helped Obama write policy and took on NRA 'was suffering from depression'

Quote
Mark Glaze, a prominent gun control advocate, died by suicide on October 31st, at Lackawanna County Prison, Pennsylvania, following a DUI arrest in September
He was arrested for fleeing the scene of a car accident involving death or personal injury, abandoning a vehicle on the highway and careless driving
Glaze, 51, was once referred as the 'face of the gun movement' by the WSJ and is credited as being one of the main founders of the anti-2A campaign
He worked for some of the largest gun-control advocacy groups in the US, including Everytown for Gun Safety, and cared for LGBTQ and human rights
He also served as an advisor to the Commission on Federal Election Reform led by former President Jimmy Carter and former Secretary of State James Baker
Glaze came from Colorado, where his parents owned and ran a gun store, backed by the NRA
Prior to his death, Glaze struggled with alcohol, depression and anxiety

His campaigning intensified in the wake of the 2012 Sandy Hook Massacre, which saw 20 kids and six adults shot dead at a Connecticut elementary school. The gun safety advocate was gay, and drew inspiration for the battle to overturn the Supreme Court's ban on same-sex marriage during his gun safety efforts.

Glaze provided blueprints for then-President Barack Obama's proposed reforms, which sought to ban assault weapons and expand background checks. But the bill was gradually killed by pressure from Democrat and Republican senators who feared upsetting the National Rifle Association.

You guys know that marvel comics made Capt America a Hydra agent, literally a Nazi, said he had always been a Nazi and had him says all kind of Trumpisms to make DJT by inference a Nazi as well?

The people who write comics now are horrible humans who happily  spit on all the work the people did before them making those titles. Capt American issue 1 literally had him punching out Hitler.

https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2021/09/house-passes-red-flag-gun-confiscation-bill-ex-military-members-lots-republicans-voted/

The war on the Second Amendment continues.

This time, gun control was slipped into the 2022 National Defense Authorization Act.

One provision in the bill allows for military courts to confiscate guns from ex-members of the military.

The military court would be able to issue a protective order which would make the owning of a firearm by an ex-military member illegal.

A provision in the 2022 National Defense Authorization Act would allow military courts to issue protective orders that include “Red Flag” gun confiscation, according to the more than 1,300-page bill.

In the legislation, those beholden to the United States Code of Military Justice could be issued a “military court protective order” by a military judge or magistrate, which would make “possessing, receiving, or otherwise accessing a firearm” illegal.

“A military court protective order issued on an ex parte basis shall restrain a person from possessing, receiving, or otherwise accessing a firearm; and a military court protective order issued after the person to be subject to the order has received notice and opportunity to be heard on the order, shall restrain such person from possessing, receiving, or otherwise accessing a firearm in accordance with section 922 of title 18,” SEC. 529 of H.R. 4350 states.

Additionally, military court protective orders issued on an emergency basis are exempted from providing the recipient with the standard “right to due process.” Instead, “notice and opportunity to be heard” must only be provided after an order was already issued.

The 2022 National Defense Authorization Act passed 316-113.

135 Republicans in the House voted for the bill.

The bill now heads to the Senate.

General Discussion / Re: More Defensive Gun Uses Than Murders in America.
« on: September 22, 2021, 11:15:22 PM »

Case in point, I met a drunk girl at a bar one time and she told me a guy just raped her. Well it turned out he grabbed her butt. Whether it was the alcohol talking, her emotional overreaction, or her lose definition of what rape means I don't know but in the end if she reported on a survey that she was raped it would be an inaccurate bit of data that would skew the results. I remember reports about how some huge number of girls on college campuses were victims of sexual assault but then when you looked at the way they asked the question it lumped any kind of unwanted advance, so if some drunk guy put his arm around a girl at a party and she didn't like it then it could have been counted as a "sexual assault". Heck, some crazy liberals believe that words are actual violence!

Dude, really? You are going with 'This one time I heard something untrue means everything I heard MIGHT be untrue' line of logic? Why always with outlier data points and ethereal 'what if' BS? Yes not everything is cut and dry, but not everything is f-ing amorphous all the time either. Jeezus you sound like you smoke weed all day.
