It surprised the hell out of me to see the yellow vest protest.  All ages, even 80 year old grandma is in the streets with her vest on.

All I do is write/call to politicians, but we all know they could careless.  So I guess I would also consider myself waiving the white flag because I'm not in the streets like how the yellow vest are.

But the yellow vest are not just protesting 1 issue, it's a number of things.  Compared to here in anti-2A states, it's just the 2a that there would be a protest.  So the numbers are not as great as they could be.

interestingly, only the Russian youtube newschannels carry livestream of the weekly yellow-vest protests.  like Ruptly, RT, etc.  and Euronews (probably Russian also).

sofar, almost every Friday night HST we can watch them get started.  unfortunately it's past my bed time when they start firing tear gas grenades and torching cars.  and then they go home after a good Saturday protest.  it's about 12hrs time zone difference.  I think things get really sporting about late afternoon French time.

Cant confirm, but french pres is allowing police to use guns now. ROE unknown (use of deadly force).

*Edit-Confirmed.  Some cops now have rifles slung and no orders confirmed yet, but their minister said "thugs" should be targeted.

I have seen vids of women in their 50's with hands up and yelling at the PD that the PD should join them like how fire and EMS has.  And not just "do their job".  Then getting hit with water cannons, arrested, and cell phones from bystanders hit to the ground.

But I have also seen the movement turn more physical.  Had a rush of yellow vest rush the line of about 10 PD in riot gear.  PD retreated.  Cars being lit on fire.  Manure dumped in front of the ministers home.

This would make sense, confiscate guns first, so there can be less retaliation to any use of deadly force.
