Want to use this site to keep track of current Hawaii gun laws & sporting events etc, I figure you guys have the pulse on what's going on legislatively and in the shooting sports community. Also may look to buy, sell, trade on here with other trusted members.

Make sure to read the Legal section and the older post to see what's going on and what went on.  Below is a basic breakdown:

1) Young vs. Hawaii won at 9th circuit, but Hawaii is appealing. (Open carry law)
2) Roberts vs. Hawaii (Taser lawsuit) going on
3) Bump stocks are now illegal, we had petitions going, but politicians didn't listen.
4) RAPBACK in limbo, not enough funds (FBI data base enrollment requirement)

Local boy here, getting back into the gun community. I used to have CCW going back almost 20 years in another state. Gave it up (obviously) when moving back home to Honolulu several years ago, though I miss it every day. Jumping back in now, and loving it. Found this site while looking for how long the HPD lines were.

Hi all! Federal LEO (I know, spooky) moving to Oahu this winter for work. Very much looking forward to joining the community; as an avid shooter and competitor, I’m hoping to find a good crew to shoot with!

Would love to be able to chat with someone about legalities as an LEO in the state; hoping to know which toys I can bring vs leave behind, state-level LEOSA wiggles, etc.

I was introduced to the sport of shooting eight years ago and fell in love with the sport. I'm so thankful and happy that my husband took me to the range! I am currently searching for a doctor to get medical clearance for a firearms permit due to my past mistakes. I’ve browsed the forums and have contacted one doctor so far. If anyone can recommend a doctor, please let me know.

Anyways, I look forward to chatting with you all in the near future!
