I wasn't a Jimmy Buffett fan but went to an Eagles concert at Aloha Stadium late 70's early 80's(?) with Jimmy Buffett. I enjoyed Jimmy Buffett more. I would have fallen asleep during the Eagles performance if it wasn't for Joe Walsh. Tickets were under twenty bucks. Good ole days. Rock and Roll Heaven gained another good one.

What does it mean, when at a honolulu gun shop, ask for an AR15, and salesperson gives you a .22 semi auto rifle that looks like an AR15?
Asking for a friend.
Technically, I believe, if it looks like an AR-15, and it is not a Colt or Armalite, it is a semi-auto rifle that looks like an AR-15 regardless of the caliber.

I never had to beg HPD to by anything. Please stop exaggerating.

In Hawaii, you should not be able to legally buy an unserialized pistol frame.

I’ve been there several times since the reservation system started. Between noon and closing I’ve always seen open benches. So far I’ve done walk in’s on both pistol and rifle ranges and haven’t been denied.
I have always had a resevation when going to the range. I go with a friend or two and take extra target stands. The last couple of times I went and asked the RO if there are open benches, the answer was "always".

We should make our own checklist. Make the HPD personel at the window initial each item submitted and sign it, print name, take a photo of the guy or gal or other, etc . . .

Here is my opinion:
1- I currently have no use for the rail. BUT.....
2- I'm retired and getting older and there WILL come a day when I can't safely drive any more. (that includes ALL of you reading this)
3- The west side of Oahu is a rapidly growing area. It's dubbed the "Second City". Didn't you wonder why the thing started out in the middle of nowhere? Think 10-20 years from now.
4-There are probably people here on this forum who worked and fed their families from the rail project.
Our very own "Inspector" Dave worked on the rail. That's why he chose the name Inspector. It was his job.

to be continued...
I will probably not have a real reason to ride the rail, but I plan to make a reason to ride it just for fun. I did feel that the rail should be built from the very beginning and still do. You can't wait until you need a rail transit system and then build it, especially with the time it takes to build something in Hawaii  ::). Also, the company I work for has done a lot of projects for the many contractors and locals working on the rail project . . . from the beginning.
