Poster boy for U.S. gun control movement kills himself in jail on DUI charge: Mark Glaze, 51, who helped Obama write policy and took on NRA 'was suffering from depression'

Mark Glaze, a prominent gun control advocate, died by suicide on October 31st, at Lackawanna County Prison, Pennsylvania, following a DUI arrest in September
He was arrested for fleeing the scene of a car accident involving death or personal injury, abandoning a vehicle on the highway and careless driving
Glaze, 51, was once referred as the 'face of the gun movement' by the WSJ and is credited as being one of the main founders of the anti-2A campaign
He worked for some of the largest gun-control advocacy groups in the US, including Everytown for Gun Safety, and cared for LGBTQ and human rights
He also served as an advisor to the Commission on Federal Election Reform led by former President Jimmy Carter and former Secretary of State James Baker
Glaze came from Colorado, where his parents owned and ran a gun store, backed by the NRA
Prior to his death, Glaze struggled with alcohol, depression and anxiety

His campaigning intensified in the wake of the 2012 Sandy Hook Massacre, which saw 20 kids and six adults shot dead at a Connecticut elementary school. The gun safety advocate was gay, and drew inspiration for the battle to overturn the Supreme Court's ban on same-sex marriage during his gun safety efforts.

Glaze provided blueprints for then-President Barack Obama's proposed reforms, which sought to ban assault weapons and expand background checks. But the bill was gradually killed by pressure from Democrat and Republican senators who feared upsetting the National Rifle Association.
You guys know that marvel comics made Capt America a Hydra agent, literally a Nazi, said he had always been a Nazi and had him says all kind of Trumpisms to make DJT by inference a Nazi as well?

The people who write comics now are horrible humans who happily  spit on all the work the people did before them making those titles. Capt American issue 1 literally had him punching out Hitler.

The war on the Second Amendment continues.

This time, gun control was slipped into the 2022 National Defense Authorization Act.

One provision in the bill allows for military courts to confiscate guns from ex-members of the military.

The military court would be able to issue a protective order which would make the owning of a firearm by an ex-military member illegal.

A provision in the 2022 National Defense Authorization Act would allow military courts to issue protective orders that include “Red Flag” gun confiscation, according to the more than 1,300-page bill.

In the legislation, those beholden to the United States Code of Military Justice could be issued a “military court protective order” by a military judge or magistrate, which would make “possessing, receiving, or otherwise accessing a firearm” illegal.

“A military court protective order issued on an ex parte basis shall restrain a person from possessing, receiving, or otherwise accessing a firearm; and a military court protective order issued after the person to be subject to the order has received notice and opportunity to be heard on the order, shall restrain such person from possessing, receiving, or otherwise accessing a firearm in accordance with section 922 of title 18,” SEC. 529 of H.R. 4350 states.

Additionally, military court protective orders issued on an emergency basis are exempted from providing the recipient with the standard “right to due process.” Instead, “notice and opportunity to be heard” must only be provided after an order was already issued.

The 2022 National Defense Authorization Act passed 316-113.

135 Republicans in the House voted for the bill.

The bill now heads to the Senate.

Case in point, I met a drunk girl at a bar one time and she told me a guy just raped her. Well it turned out he grabbed her butt. Whether it was the alcohol talking, her emotional overreaction, or her lose definition of what rape means I don't know but in the end if she reported on a survey that she was raped it would be an inaccurate bit of data that would skew the results. I remember reports about how some huge number of girls on college campuses were victims of sexual assault but then when you looked at the way they asked the question it lumped any kind of unwanted advance, so if some drunk guy put his arm around a girl at a party and she didn't like it then it could have been counted as a "sexual assault". Heck, some crazy liberals believe that words are actual violence!

Dude, really? You are going with 'This one time I heard something untrue means everything I heard MIGHT be untrue' line of logic? Why always with outlier data points and ethereal 'what if' BS? Yes not everything is cut and dry, but not everything is f-ing amorphous all the time either. Jeezus you sound like you smoke weed all day.

A perfect example. Now we can all imagine this situation and assume these guys had bad intentions but an objective question would be to ask whether they were really going to commit a crime or not. Were they going to attack her or jerks trying to hit on her?

yeah when guys wanna pick up a chick they think is cute they make sure to bring 5 friends to a dark parking lot, that always ups their up your  odds of getting her to give you a phone number.  SHM

keep trying to stuff those camels thru the eyes of needles.

You'd think someone would tell him to go F himself considering how many times US Fed databases have been easily hacked into since he has been in office. I think a Netflix account has better cyber security than the US gov at this point.

This is the problem of deciding that leadership is acting like Biden and his 'I am out of patience' approach. You wanna make rules that are almost impossible to live by even for yourself of course people are going to get in your grill.

Real leadership would be statements of guidance and health warnings while spending every other waking moment back stopping the medical profession and getting them any and all available resources they need to stay on top of things.

Crisis is supposed to be a time to bring folks together to instead of pushing them apart and breaking their stuff.

I don't care if they think they are doing it for 'the right reasons' they have been going about it the wrong way the whole time.

No one respects people who come off as a Bully. Even if it's 'for your own good'.

Pfizer isn't the only one making big profits.

Federal Reserve officials, including Chairman Powell, owned securities that the U.S. central bank has bought during the #COVID19 pandemic (CNBC)

Yeah we committed war crimes but like whatever man...

Gen. McKenzie, head of U.S. Central Command, to announce no ISIS-K fighters killed in U.S. drone strike in Kabul Aug 29. 10 civilians killed, including 7 children in Toyota. No disciplinary action expected, officials say. US military stands by intel leading to strike.

These 'poor desperate people' somehow manage to round up $7000 - $10,000 each to pay a Coyote to get them across into the US. Coming here is obviously a luxury for the richer folks from these sh*tholes. Its about getting free stuff.

Your friend Biden is literally paying contractors $2 billion to cut up and dump the uninstalled sections of the incomplete wall.

You cant have it both way, enjoy what you voted for.
