interesting all the anti-gun bills come out of committee so quickly, while pro gun bills get stuck in committee.  hopefully all the pro gun bills come out soon

I'm kind of confused.  If they are pushing to repeal this law, what does it mean exactly?  I read the introduced bill, but I still don't understand.  Are they trying to lower the ammunition capacity, of magazines?

These pro-gun bills are about as pointless as the bill that keeps getting introduced to repeal Presidential term limits, and are just about as likely to pass.

I haven't read the latest version, but it was my understanding that the intent was to allow "standard capacity" magazines in lieu of the 10 round maximum.  At least that's what I recall from discussions about the legislation from last session.  "Standard capacity" would be definited as originally designed/manufactured/available from the manufacturer.  So for a Glock 17, the standard magazine would be the 17 round capacity magazine (at least I believe so).

I also don't believe anyone is "pushing" this bill. Tons of legislation gets introduced but sees no action. This is likely to be one of them.

This sounds like a winner to me!!!   :shaka:

If you click on the links in the update's post, it'll take you to a status page. From that page you can click on the bill number to get the text of the bill.

This one is great IMHO. All it does is strike the offending text from the current HRS-134 statute. Gets rid of that silly 10 round verbiage.
