You do not address the huge number of democrats that want us under their thumb.  To punish for wrong thinking, etc.

State gov is run by the people of the state, more or less.  You know, bat-shit crazy liberals in many of them.
You really think NY or MA would suddenly be reasonable?  They want all not believers dead or imprisoned.

Being an older curmudgeon, I will never submit to liberal laws or rule.  If that is the prelim to divorce, so be it.

Some of them aren't coming back, but others will figure out they were lied to and we should be ready to assist them when they decide to rejoin temporal reality.

Not in the near term. Nor will California or Hawaii. But I do believe if the federal government wasn't the controlling force against state's rights, and states started governing themselves separately from federal ideals, people would move to, or vote inline with the successful states policies and values. I believe those will be the states that give individuals freedom, and conservative values. I'm sure others believes it will be the states with liberal values.

Of course there is the issue with the liberal establishment needing to lie and demonize to get people to support their agenda, but I have hope that will fail eventually also.

I should also give the caveat that I'm not against a national divorce. I just feel for it to actually happen it will involve people of differing values moving to states that support those values. Currently I see conservatives moving from dumpster fires like California, to conservative states like Texas and Florida, but I don't see liberals moving to states that support their values. I see more of them moving to the conservative states and trying to change them. WIth that in mind I believe the national divorce will be more of a civil war. When that happens we will see the hypocracy of gun control advocates being fully armed.

Currently I see conservatives moving from dumpster fires like California, to conservative states like Texas and Florida, but I don't see liberals moving to states that support their values. I see more of them moving to the conservative states and trying to change them. WIth that in mind I believe the national divorce will be more of a civil war. When that happens we will see the hypocracy of gun control advocates being fully armed.

This also works for DNC leaving DNC states and voting DNC in their new purple or GOP state. From personal XP, I got over a dozen friends who have moved over the years to various red states.  And they still vote blue.  They all left HI because of cost of living and mismanaged system. I explain to change the way they vote, and they get upset and mad.

For Vegas, I don't have proof of how CA voters vote, but I do know there is a huge prejudice toward CA transplants.  Even their CA car license plates get them in trouble.  1 could argue that they have a red governor now. But this same guy supports mag limits as Sheriff.  And I'm prettty sure the last gov (blue) got voted out cause he closed all the casinos during covid.  Had he not done that, he might have won.  Again, just my $0.02.

These movers also caused the real estate to also jump higher there.  Because they are willing to pay what ever and have a bidding war because "it's still cheaper than CA".

Hawaii relies on a lot of Federal money, it is not self sustaining. Locals can wail all they want about buying local to support the economy but its like trying to warm Antarctica with a propane stove

The liberals already believe speech is violence, and will use that belief to ramp up to physical violence. Conservatives will be more then happy to oblige. Not that they are violent, but you can only push someone so far before they push back harder. we are boiling now, I believe there are people that are just holding themselves back, and will either explode when pushed just a little farther, or will have the mindset" you call me aggressive, let me show you what aggressive is? The political lines are drawn along 2A vs gun control. When the SHTF we will see the hypocrisy of the anti gun people with guns.
