Anybody recommend a good gym?
« on: April 08, 2021, 10:08:06 PM »
Went to try out 24 in Pearl city tonight to see how it is with the COVID rules and it was ridiculous. Only one barbell bench for the entire weight area. The “outside” area closes at 830 so by the time I got there it was about to close. Guys were sweating all over the dumbbells doing rows. They wanna charge $46 per month.

Anybody here go to UFC gym waikele? Or any other recommendations for a gym that isn’t completely packed?

24 bishop is 1/4 to 1/3 of PC.  But get 3 flat, 2 incline and 1 decline barbell benches and probably 2 flat, 2 incline and 1 decline dumbbell benches.  Bishop is usually slow.

24 kapiolani get 5 flat, 5 incline and 2 decline barbell benches.  Probably 3 flat, 3 incline and 2 decline dumbbell benches.

Never been to ufc but i think you can watch fights for free.

Maybe powerhouse.

If you're Kaiser, you can use their program and 24HR is free (less the $200 year cost to Kaiser). UFC is $35/mo and it goes up from there depending. https://thrive.kaiserpermanente.org/care-near-hawaii/active-and-fit

My daughter and friends of mine go to UFC Waikele and it's good. Lots of equipment.
I'd rather have a bottle in front of me, than a frontal lobotomy.

I know quite a few guys who just work out at home using 12 to 40 oz weights.

Kind of. My wife comes home from work late so I don’t have much time before the gyms close.
