On a side note. A pocket .380 can be as snappy as a 9, and MORE difficult to hit accurately, in my experience.

The seriously mentally ill cannot be forced to receive treatment, the self imposed drug and alcohol addicted refuse to be treated, the genuinely down on their luck slip though the cracks overwhelmed by the other two.

The state enables by funding it all, through the hard working taxpayers monies.

IMO, if the first two can be dealt with, with actual seriousness, the last would be an easy fix.

However, the homeless industrial complex has grown so lucrative, the politicians and those whose profitability are funded by the “unsolvable problem” will never allow real solutions.

This country is plagued by these “industrial complexes”.  Military, social, and pharmaceutical.
Once these complexes are dismantled, this is when MAGA can be restored.

P365X with Wilson combat grip module, and holosun eps carry dot.  10+1, lightweight, very easy to carry and shoot accurately.

Hawaii public school is a joke.  Every other week has days off.  This month alone has only 14 days of school.  FOR THE WHOLE MONTH.

I really don’t want to hear about teachers not getting enough pay.  Anyone else’s needs to GO TO WORK to get a paycheck. For the amount of actual time “teaching” I think their wage is not bad at all.

It’s a no wonder, why the young ones coming to work now days are so damn lazy, call in constantly, want to “telework”, and generally whine about being at a great job.  They’ve been trained to go do “work” for only half a month their entire childhood.

Just my observation.

I am really not happy with the school system here for my little one. Things need to be fixed, and fast.

90% of Hawaii people I know are ready to ditch left progressives. Yet we see the same being elected.  Either our election system in Hawaii is completely corrupt or the people are too lazy and complacent to get out and vote.

What every gun owner in the USA needs to do is get Trump back in office.  The Kamala administration will certainly continue to stack courts against not only the 2A, but the constitution in general.

This time I hope Trump will surround himself with better advisors.  I firmly believe bad advice from the NRA was the probable cause for the bump stock fiasco, which we see now spiraling out of control.

Thankfully the judges that HE appointed is keeping the anti gun bureaucracy under control, for now.

We sure cannot take another 4 to 8 years of left control.  Kiss your rights bye bye.

News reported a simmering feud between neighbors.

I guess the pot boiled over.

Would increased police presence have prevented this from happening?

There's no love anymore.  No respect.  No compassion.

The ainokea spirit is strong in Hawaii.  Just like the Aloha Spirit in our government and State Supreme bullsh*t, ahem I mean Court.

Increased police presence isn’t going to do anything if the police are powerless to react.  If they can’t do anything, nothing is going to get better.

Crime runs rampant because there is zero consequences for criminals.

Officials say multiple suspects tried to flee when the suspect opened fire, striking the victims.
HPD said at some point, a 42-year-old male resident of the home fatally shot the suspect with a handgun.
The 42-year-old male resident who shot the suspect has been arrested for second-degree murder.

Man rams cars with front end loader.
Man opens fire on unarmed civilians.
Resident shoots suspect  stopping him from killing others.
Resident arrested for 2nd degree murder.

Am I missing something ?

Sounds like a complicated situation. Perhaps the man that ended to shooter was the initial aggressor?  Sounds like a neighbor dispute gone wildly wrong.

I’d bet they was having and bash out party, probably a regular occurrence, blocking some dudes driveway,  dude probably called the police 50x previous, yet nothing was done. Dude might have gone over and told them to move their vehicles, they attacked, dude had enough and went nuts.

I don’t know anything about this particular incident, but in my minds eye, that’s how I see it playing out.

Reloading / Re: Old Bullseye powder
« on: August 30, 2024, 06:09:01 PM »
Takes less pressure to push out the lighter bullet therefore less pressure builds up inside case before bullet exits cartridge/barrel.
Probably also had more "flame" coming out of barrel as powder was still burning after cartridge leaves case/barrel.

Does make sense.  Usually your step the powder up a little when using lighter bullet for more velocity.  One could stay within safer pressure with a lighter projectile and achieve higher velocity

BE is a really fast powder.  It would probably all be ignited, even in a 5.5bbl

Perhaps you’re getting a better seal with your hand cast and sized 200 grn SWC plus better lube.  Better seal = more velocity would be my guess

Chrono test using 4.0 gr of Bullseye in each load. Colt gvt 5.5 in barsto match bbl with fed brass and wwLpp. Velocity/SD
.....
The first bullet is my 200 gr.hand cast bullet using a mold made by Miha Previc in Slovenia. It is sized to 0.452 dia and lubricated with my own blend of Hawaiian beeswax and Alox2138F.
=746/6
The second bullet is a 185 gr soft swaged target hollow point .
=700/10
The third is a 230 gr polymer coated bullet from Blue
=709/9

Why is the lightest bullet the slowest bullet?
It doesn't make sense.

moving this to the reloading section

Weather permitting, I'm heading out to test these new loads today. I started using my old stash of powder since the price of powder became so high. These loads used Bullseye powder  which has been sitting around for 30 years.

My standard load is 3.2 BE with 200gr SWC.  Awesome load

General Discussion / Re: How's the line at HPD?

I think either I'm getting slow, or I don't see the instructions on the HPD site, but what are the procedures for CCW renewal? Mine is coming up soon, and I am not sure if I need to re-do all the paperwork as I did the first time, or just partial. I don't see anything specific pertaining to CCW renewal, suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Mahalo

You have to do everything all over again.  Including taking a new pistol safety class(pay more) and CCW class (pay more).   and PAY MORE for the license.   They want to make it as cumbersome, painful, and expensive as possible to exercise your rights......

FBI director states the rifle might have been not seen when he was walking around due to having a collapsible stock. Will they try to ban these, I mean, lets see what the DNC hates more, collapsible stocks or Trump.

Bet

in the hearing today (1:36:01).

As I understand it, the Butler County ESU unit was situated on the second floor of the building next to it,
but they didn't have a clear line of sight of the roof -- the angle was too severe.

Does that explain it for you?

 :shaka:

Yes. With the same clarity as, “we didn’t put a counter sniper team on that particular roof because the angle was too severe.  That would be unsafe…”

On the note of the theory that Trump planned the whole thing and the shot through the ear from a world class bench rested sniper.

I think that’s pretty bad ass. Risking death to attempt to save this country? Mean da scoop.

Betty Crocker......LOL!

She does look scrumptious.

I'm all for women holding positions that were male dominated.  Got no problem with that.

But this is how I see it.  Meet the Standard(s).  The Standard(s) do not accommodate you.

And when I surf cross-fit, exercise, and fitness videos, I believe women can do the job.

It looks like the gov't gave President Trump the F Troop of Secret Service.  And on that day the inevitable happened.

Supposedly there was intel, way ahead, that threat risk for Trump was escalating quickly.  So top assigns the bottom of the barrel, plus the best of the rest?   ???

On another front. Putin is already considering peace talks if Trump is re-elected.
Wow, which side of the aisle is for peace, strength, and borders? Which is for war, chaos, and invasion?  Kind of nuts
