A rifle IS a firearm, just like shotguns, revolvers and pistols.  "Firearm or rifle" is redundant and embarrassing.

What's dissapointing for it's like bill in the senate, no gun store submitted testimony.  With the exception of 1 FFL who was on zoom for the hearing (live testimony).  This would affect all their businesses.

They gutted and replaced this bill. INstead of it just being a 50 cal ban, it is now an "assault weapons" ban and mag ban. Basically mimics HB893 bill that died.

HHAA (the gun show club) sent out an email regarding this--using the Legislature's online directory I was able to call 15-16 legislators in about 40 minutes.  Keep it short and simple, be clear that you are opposed to SB 401 and/or support your constitutional (2a) rights. 

spoke to Nadine Nakamura's staffer told him I oppose the bill and asked why did they gut and replace the original bill, he said he has no idea what bills are for what Glad our tax monies are going to such competent people
