if you are buying a new rifle what caliber would it be?

I love 308, but I've seen the ballistic charts for 6.5 Creedmoor.

Long, skinny bullets are good. Unless you need a short barrel.

If you're at the nearer ranges where 308 does outperform 6.5 Creed, then you could consider a thumper like 45 Raptor...

But the Creedmoor/ 308 divide is perhaps not of a level to be worth breaking standardization for. If you already have 308 guns, or want something like a bullpup or milsurp stuff, then it makes a lot of sense to stay standardized on 308.

I only have 30 cals and 223. And I have a 338 barrel that just need to get dies and brass for. I’d like to try 6mm for sure though. 6 dasher or gt.

Just do pre fits less bs to do and deal with especially here.

As for the question asked by ren I just bought .22, .243, .257, .264, .277, .284 and .308 cal chambered barrels for cartridges l want.

Nice my bradda that’s a great round as is the 338 and improved versions. Building a 22 XC and 6 XC switch barrel for my daughter at the moment. She bugs me everyday to hunt lol finally found a manners stock w/mini chassis that fits her good since she so small lol. Velocity won’t be as fast as it could be since I’m doing 18” barrels for her for now.

Waiting on the 22 barrel already got the 6xc looks good. The other quick change Zeus Terminus action and 3 barrels are on its way. They should be here this week. Going have to find time soon to get her going LOL.

Been too busy working to drop by the shops for awhile now lol. That’s too bad the shop is fairly close to me now.
