I recommend an Aimpoint T-1 Micro.  OGC has good prices on them.

What price range are you looking at?

Aimpoint H-1 or T-1. If you never intend on getting nightvision equipment, then probably the H-1 would be the way to go.

From Larue Tactical, Aimpoint H-1/T-1 combos.

OGC is carrying Larue mounts as well.  You should call them to see if they carry for the H-1/T-1.

I have the T1.  I like it a lot, but I'd love it more if I could just get the thing sighted in.   >:(

No real issue with the T1 itself.  It's just me, and it doesn't help that I don't have a good spotting scope.  I think that's the most irritating thing... trying to see the hole or the groups with a crappy spotting scope.

I've only taken it out a few times.  My groups are a lot better with the iron sights.  That'll probably change once the T1 is sighted.

The way I sight in my red dots is I try to get pretty close with the irons (50 yards).  Once I know I'm about there with the irons, I co-witness the dot to the irons.  I drop the BUIs after that (GZ doesn't like fixed fronts) and try to dial in with the dot only.

I know it's a bit counter intuitive, but it works for me.

Has anyone ordered anything from botachtactical.com?  I really want the Aimpoint 3x.

Did a quick search... they have some really shady practices.  They're all over the internet.  A quick search came up with the following:

BBB in LA... http://www.la.bbb.org/business-reviews/General-Merchandise-Retail-By-Internet/Botach-Tactical-Law-Enforcement-and-Military-in-Los-Angeles-CA-13117095
Pissed Consumer.com... http://botach-tactical.pissedconsumer.com/
one from Yelp (couple of good reviews, the rest are bad)... http://www.yelp.com/biz/botach-tactical-los-angeles

I ordered some magpul furniture from them a few weeks ago, the stock shipped same day and the grip was BO but was shipped a week later. They do not charge your CC till it ships. No problems for me and I would order from them again.

Lolipop the dot onto your irons (if they are zeroed in), then fine tune your red dot zero on the steel targets to the left of the deer.  When you are consistently hitting the smallest one, you should be good to go.  You will need a full dot holdover to hit the farthest target at 440 with this zero.

I just scored a Lucid HD7 with a 2x magnifier for my AR.  I like it.  4 reticles to switch between and it'll auto shut off after 2 hours to save battery life (common AAA).
