They've not been at the last 3 gun shows, though. Which is sad. I always scored my .357 for the year from them at the show. Now, I'll have to drive out and fetch it!

I've heard many good things about Al Mongeon at Ready on the Right. I didn't know that he has only been doing transfers for the last couple of years until I e-mailed him a few months ago. So although he won't order anything, he does have a great transfer fee.

Yes, Al is a great resource. He handles FFL transfers for his cost. He's brought in all of my purchases from internet auctions.
He also does consignment sales, so staying in touch with him is rarely a waste of time. I've got 2 under-$100 guns in my safe that I picked up from him just by asking "What've you got that needs some love?" Now I have a remarkably accurate Baikal single-shot 12 gauge and a single-shot .22 trainer, which I use to shoot Aguila Super Colibris in my living room shooting range.

I stopped in at OGC Tactical yesterday.
They have some really good prices compared to some of the other shops. They also had a bigger selection than I would have expected. Tons of ammo in different calibers as well as a nice selection of handguns and ARs. Also a really nice .50 Beowulf AR :)
Carter is an interesting guy. It was nice to finally go there after all the good reviews I've heard.
Oh yeah, good FFL transfer prices for LEOs and Military.

I've been trying to reach Ronak to stock up on .357 magnum lead 158 gr. rounds, but their phone isn't working. They haven't been to the last few gun shows, either. Anyone have a scoop? Please tell me they haven't gone out of business@

Maybe this store should be removed from the list. Called to see what their hours were, disconnected. Called the J Hara Kurtistown store and they said the Kamuela store was closed.

Got a tip from a shooting buddy of a new shop. They have been a spearo shop for some time, got into firearms three months ago. They had a bunch of AR type rifles on the wall, and a decent selection of handguns under the counter. Small ammo supply as well.
They are in the industrial area by the Kona Costco.

Got one more to add to the list on the Big Island. " Elite Hunters usa.com" Heard about it in the PD while registering and stopped in today to have a look around. Small place but seems like a super nice guy who runs the place. They have a small selection of various ammo, couple handguns, couple knives, some long guns in back of the shop. didn't see anything too fancy..some shotguns, cheap handguns. Not sure on prices...seemed reasonable for a local place. various accesories as well. Also bow hunting stuff.
Located in the old shopping center in kona where firestone is located on the makai side. He said they have been there 2 years now.

Add one more to the list for Big Island...
Brand New shop in Kona located in the old industrial area on Luhia St. If you know where soundwave music is located it is below there in the lower building....Just look for the small sign on the side of the road near the entrance. They are not officially open yet, grand opening is this saturday the 26th. Looks like they will have a decent selection. Couple guys working in there Ron, and Wes. Again, seems like some good folks. They are going to be giving away what looked like a little .22 rifle on saturday so stop by and check em out if you are in the area!

Be nice if one of the Kona shops started stocking reloading supplies.
.308 ammo is pricey and I keep saving brass "for some day". Gather some shops over in Hilo carry things, but do not feel like the drive.

They have had ammo and some hunting supplies for years but stopped in today while I was in hilo and was impressed with the ammo selection and even reloading supplies. such as dies, primers, some bullets, brass, equipment. Bunch o' long guns on the wall. They are mostly a fishing store. Located sort of behind the ace hardware in downtown hilo
