Perfect example of where the liberal democrats positions on economic policy will take us.  Thank you Hawaii voters for following in the footsteps of Detroit.  SMH.   :( >:( :(

Not surprising at all...Detroit is a crime-infested shit hole to begin with. They ought to level the whole city and call it a day.

How bad is it?
I read a business report and it showed real estate that was selling for $1.00 and it was listed for over 500 days and nobody bought it.
If I ever find that link I'll post it.

The rich get richer.
If the world or America doesn’t end, you know it will get better, someday.

Why Are The Chinese Gobbling Up Real Estate And Businesses In Detroit?

Something very strange is happening to Detroit.  Once upon a time, it was the center of American manufacturing and it had the highest per capita income in the United States.
But now the city is dying and the Chinese are moving in to pick up the pieces.

Lured by news stories that proclaim that you can buy homes in Detroit for as little as one dollar, Chinese investors are eagerly gobbling up properties.

"Democracy is doomed to failure as soon as the public realiizes it can vote for largesse from the public coffers."

Variously attributed, but apparently original from Plato.

The concept has been around for a looooong while.

That's why the founders wanted a representative republic, not a democracy.

However, the concept is now:  "Representative republics are doomed to failure as soon as its elected representatives discover they can be re-elected by voting for largesse from the public coffers."

Terry said that, circa 1996.

Write it down.

Terry, 230RN
I do believe that the radical and crazy notion that the Founders meant what they said, is gradually soaking through the judicial system.

^^^ term limits are seriously needed.

Public officials should at minimum take a break after serving or 2 terms.
I think, therefore I am armed.
