I own a USP Compact. While it’s a solid firearm for sure, the paddle mag release would take me a while to get used to (anything more than plinking).

I already have a beautiful S&W Model 25-1 in 45 ACP. It is the one on the left. This photo is from the first revolver meet.

Beautiful. And it's the hard to find 4" barrel. I have a 625 I posted before that was customed by Jim stroh. One of those I'm getting buried with it gun  8) I remember that revolver meet. Everyone seemed cool. I brought my 625 and 1968 model 28 highway patrol man that Lou owns now :thumbsup:

I agree! The meet was very cool. And I think I remember your Model 28. That 625 is sweet! I found a good gunsmith out here so some of my revolvers are going to have a little work done on them.

WOW! I missed this post! I have a few 100+ year old guns and they ARE cool!!! I have been eyeing a few Colts here lately. There are a couple at one of the LGS out here. Plus J&G keeps getting some in. All around the 1920’s manufacture.

For defensive use, a Glock 21 with RDS. Or I’d give the FNX a try.

For competition, I’d like to try a 2011.

For plinking, Sig P220.

Ruger Vaquero, 3.75" barrel, birdshead grip, 45acp
blueing is very nice!  weight and balance of the gun make for an easy shooting revolver.  feels less recoil than a 1911. fat hammer, easy cocking, SA trigger is really good too
