General Discussion / How Americans will lose their 2A rights---easily.
« on: October 27, 2023, 06:23:00 PM »
Not a message I wish to bring here but we must have awareness in this area.  While we like to discuss the niceties and problems of gun ownership and fear the annulment of the Second Amendment, there is something more incipient coming our way surely as the sun rises in the East.  Soon maybe, we will not be able to buy ammo or guns:

Firearms BILLS-117hr127ih

Here we have it. They are going after EVERYONE who has a gun or ammunition. They are deeply concerned about a revolution and they want to know every person who has a gun or ammunition. The object of this bill will be to identify every person who has a gun. They will be able to revoke a license and confiscate the gun under rules to be created by the Attorney General. Biden swore he would end the NRA. He was not joking. Like a diverse license, once they create this federal license, they effectively limit the Second Amendment claiming if you obey all their regulations which they can change at any time, then you have that right. But all such rights are eliminated whenever they say so.

922(dd)(1) It shall be unlawful for any person to possess ammunition that is 0.50 caliber or greater.

Whoever knowingly violates section
922(dd)(1) shall be fined not less than $50,000 and not
more than $100,000, imprisoned not less than 10 years
and not more than 20 years, or both

‘‘(B) Whoever knowingly violates section 922(dd)(2)
shall be fined not less than $10,000 and not more than
$25,000, imprisoned not less than 1 year and not more
than 5 years, or both.’’

General Discussion / Trump's done, Supremes reject last hope Texas suit.
« on: December 11, 2020, 04:31:46 PM »
Well, here we are folks.  So far J Biden turning moderate going by his appointments.  Don't think he'll huli 2A but will try to restrict capacity and ammo availability.  Curiously not one SC judge sided with Trump/Texas.  We knew the cheat was coming--no prep by the Pubs therefore easy steal. >:(

General Discussion / Hurricane. Keep safe everyone.

Well the warning is in so batten down your things.  Here's a few things I have done:

1.  Filling my clean "blue bin" with H2O for the toilet tank.

2.  Filled clean coolers with about 25 gallons of potable water.

3.  Installing fresh batteries in my 4 LED lanterns and 5 flashlites.

4.  Made sure my butane stoves works and picked up a few cannisters.

5.  Topped off my gas tank.

6.  Took detailed pictures of my roof, windows, gutters and 30 panel PV system just in case for insurance purposes.

7.  Helped neighbor double strap his 17 footer to his trailer and double chaining the tow ball.

8. Removed or tied down anything that would become airborn in the backyard and patio.  Many plants large and small.

May think of ideas later, feel free to add your recs.  Good luck everyone. :shaka:

Only my second gun show visit and feel I need a better carrying system than a hand bag.  Keeps hands free and carries a lot the back pack does.  Anyone know?  Thanks in advance

Firearms and Accessories / These Mosin kits work?
« on: May 31, 2017, 02:05:53 PM »
Mosin Nagant accurizing kit.  While browsing GunBroker.com I ran across several accurizing kits for sale.  The kit involves shimming several areas of the action to the rifle stock and uses either a rag or cork pieces to shim the barrel.  Has anyone had any experience with the mod?http://www.gunbroker.com/item/644613571.  Either my Mosins are in dire need of something like this or I need a new pair of glasses.
