They staple the LTC payment receipt with serial #'s to the letter just above serial #'s on the letter and probably make a copy.
I was given my payment receipt when i submitted my app. It showed paid $150.

Upon getting my ccw, i was also given a receipt with a diff serial # that just said "paid" on it.

Another food for thought.  WHen I first was granted a CCW, not only did I have to submit 2 passport photo's, but they also took my photo when I picked up the CCW card and used that pic on it.

Now, you have to submit 1 passport photo and take a pic when turning in your app.  There is no pic taken when you pick up your CCW card.  Which means, HPD could easily mail me the card when they mail the approval letter.  NV mailed my CCW to me.  Having to pick it up in person is BS.  And when I picked it up, the cop asked me if I brought my approval letter. I didn't.  I mean, even if I did, was he solely going to use that to create the card?  I mean, there's no way anyone would forge a paper letter right?

It's because they don't like that you can do things online, which makes things easier for a gun owner.  There is a lot of redundancy just so you can exercise your right.  They want you to think twice about buying more guns becuase of the hassle.

This is huge guys.

Hopefully, an online system makes things easier for us.  Here's an example, NV CCW you can apply online now, and this only began during covid.  So prior to covid, you had to go in person.  Granted they have like 12 windows open to help you at the Metro HQ and 5 photo and 5 finger printing stations, still going there sucks.  What's good about this is that the city has to check in every 6 months if they go beyond a certain date and aren't done with it yet.  This shows accountability.

Right now, the law doesn't say a CCW must be granted in 120 days.  It only states an automatic denial after 120 days.  Now, the counties have up to 75 days to notify the applicant if there's missing info or errors holding up the application.  Which means, they have to process all apps and find any issues before the 75 days. And if 75 days have passed, assume you are approved and you shall get your CCW by day 120.

Got my CCW today, took 84 days.  I was once again granted my right by HPD/County/State.

Political Discussion / Re: Hamas attacks Israel
« on: May 09, 2024, 03:11:43 PM »
The main reason we got involved with middle East was was oil.  Back then it was extremely important to our interests.  Not as much nowadays since we can produce all of our own oil.  However other countries still depend on that oil, and the US depends on those countries for trade and security.

For Israel, the US was important to it's creation, it's like our renegade child.  The world knows the US will protect Israel.  And that gives the US military credibility.  If another nation messes with US interests, they know the US will respond.  This has led to a relatively peaceful era.

And there are economic interests.  We provide aid to Israel, but we get a lot in return.  Israel is an important trade partner.  They purchase a lot of US military equipment.  They also do joint development with the US.  A lot of US corporations operate in Israel like Intel who has a large chip manufacturing plant and does a lot of R&D there.

I know a few people who work in oil in the US and all of them said that the US has lots of oil.  So much that we don't and won't ever need to use any one elses.  But the hold up is the regulations on drilling.  This puts the US at a handicap and causes us to buy oil from other countries.  This was both land and off shore oil workers.

I never looked into the matter, but makes sense.  More EPA regulations, just like more gun laws.  All in the name of the public interest.  And coincidently, the AFT's power to change rules (chevron deference) comes originally from the EPA doing the same for oil.

Angle?  Explain why it's not a fact that Israel is THE non-Muslim country in the Middle East surrounded by nearly HALF A BILLION Muslims in no fewer than 16 other countries/nations?

Population in 2024:

Egypt - 112,716,598
Sudan - 48,109,006
Libya - 6,888,388
Jordan - 11,337,052
Lebanon - 5,353,930
Palestine - 5,371,230
Syria - 23,227,014
Iraq - 45,504,560
Saudi Arabia - 36,947,025
Yemen - 34,449,825
Iran - 89,172,767
Oman - 4,644,384
UAE - 9,516,871
Qatar - 2,716,391
Bahrain - 1,485,509
Kuwait  - 4,310,108
------------------------------------
Total of 16 = 441,750,658
=====================

Israel - 9,174,520

So, explain why such a small area like Israel with about 10M citizens needs to give up land to Palestine with a population over half the size of Israel's?  Just how cramped must Israel make it's people live in order to surrender their land to another nation when the Muslim world refuses to do the same?

Give reasons for why the other 15 Muslim nations should not offer to give the Palestinians part of their massive land area?  With over 436M people collectively, Palestine would only increase their combined population by just over 1% -- not exactly a huge drain on the Muslim world's resources, is it?

What gives Palestine the right to take the land Israel claims?  Why not lay claim to land in one or two Muslim countries?  if you read the history of the Palestinians, they existed as part of the Ottoman Empire.  So, technically, they can claim any part of those 15 other nation's land as "ancestral homeland."  Why go after Israel alone?

Why is Iran so supportive of Hamas and Palestine in their fight against Israel, but they draw the line at giving them a place within Iran to make their home?

It's logic, not propaganda.

Has any other country tried to claim Israel as theirs?

Fun fact, I was wondering if Israel is part of Africa and google said no, they're part of Asia, so is Palestine.  So technically, this is an Asian fight. This part is meant as a joke and not to cause a serious debate.  What brought it up was in Bruno film, Bruno said the country his baby is from is Africa.  He was corrected that Africa isn't a country, but a continent.  Even he tried to broker peace there.

This is an interesting discussion with Mosab Hussan Yousef, a former Palestinian ex-militant who later sides with Israel and moved to the US.  He's also the son of a Hamas founder.  He knows from the inside and exposes the evils of Hamas.

More entertainingly is the journalist taking the side of Hamas.  Going over the talking points and making like she  represents the Palestinians.  It's like she thinks she's a Palestinian herself.

Honest journalism is gone.  I mean, look at this 1 example.  We also saw this while they were trying to get Trump kicked out of the WH.  And then with covid.  TBH, the main stream media is more on an entertainment source than anything else.  As Alonzo Harris would say "This news paper is 99% BS, but I read it because it entertains me."

There are literally millions of ex-Navy Seals, Green Berets, Delta Operators, Rangers, Force Recon out there than there ever was in the military since the beginning of our nation.

I have personally talked with one person who claims he was in Special Forces.  He wasn't lying.  What he didn't disclose is that he was attached to Special Forces as an Army Cook.

Yeah, grow a beard, put on a lumberjack jacket and jeans and voila, you are ex-something.  You choose your fantasy, army cook.

Like Flap said, and there are also CST's who are attached to SF units who are not SF but they are on the front lines with them.  Common would be women because Muslim women cannot or will not talk to non-family men (SF operators) often.  So to have another female there to talk to them helps get intel.  There's a woman who's actions are unknown for another few years until they're declassified.  She died in combat and her story is waiting to get declassified.  Basically, she was a badass in the SF community, and wasn't butch either.

Another example are the "Night Stalkers".  They go thru much of the same training as operators do, but aren't operators.  So it isn't uncommon for them to pick up some guys who they recognize from selection.

Then you have guys who claim they're "basically SF" cause they were attached for a few months to a SF unit.  I know of a few guys who claimed this.  They do not have a tab nor went thru selection.  This was during the early stages of OIF and FO's were much needed.  Knew a few 68W's and none of them made this statement, even when they were attached to SF units as well.

I just applied for my ccw today and i can already see that im likely to get jerked around.   Ive had no issues with permits to acquire, and i got my permit early for my last purchase in december.   But the officer today asked me if i ever needed a physicians letter for my permits to acquire in the past so im already expecting a hold up.

They quoted me the same 2-3 months as per usual but we'll see.   Ill start watching the mail in July.

Did the cop ask you as you turned it in?  Or call you after, which means they looked into your background?

Unless the cop reviewed your app and it noted some mental health question that was not marked in your favor.

The vaccines were not without risk.  Anyone seeing the data understood that, which is why the safety and efficacy were such divisive topics -- to the point where anyone questioning the establishment viewpoint was censored on most platforms.

The one big benefit the vaccine offered was it got the emergency orders lifted, businesses to reopen and schools to start using the classrooms again.  The vaccine helped end the lockdowns, even after the reports that vaccinated people were still contracting it.

In a big picture analysis, I think Trump has a right to point to the vaccine development as an accomplishment.  We were going to have a vaccine at some point no matter what.  Trump's Operation Warp Speed enabled the developers to roll it out faster than any other vaccine is US history.  That in turn halted the lockdowns sooner.

So, regardless of the individual side effects, the measurable impact of Warp Speed on the economy and workers needing to earn a paycheck was an amazing feat.

Some have the opinion that the lockdowns did more harm to the nation and individuals, in particular students, than the virus did.  Whether or not the individual costs of the vaccine exceed the benefits to the nation as a whole is up for debate and may only be known decades from now.

That is a good point because Trump never forced anyone to take it.  Each state/county did so.  And some federal departments like the military.

Lots of medications are given based on benefits outweighing the risks.  Some of the risks are downright deadly.  But none of them out there was ever forced down the throats of the public like the covid shots were.

Social engineering for sure.  The studies has been made, conclusions drawn, and future plans implemented.

Garan Ball Barans.

That's where the comrades would disagree.  Like comrade Rick would say "I'm not forcing you to get the vaxx, you just cannot go to the gym, dine in at a restaurant, work for the city, etc..You are free to stay home".

I'm probably still voting for him again, especially if he names Tulsi as VP, but because of this I don't expect a messiah. In fact I expect to be disappointed, but hopefully in a less Stalinistic way than the Biden administration.

How low is your disappointment bar?  I mean, he can't do worst than Brandon right?

It's common for some people to be against guns, even to the point of preferring to be killed than to use a gun to defend themselves.

Being a pacifist is worthy of respect, but it means they still need Billy Jack to save their asses.

What happens when Billy decides to stop fighting other people's fights?

I have no problem if someone doesn't like guns. Fine, then don't buy one. I have a problem when they try to take mine away or make me a criminal because they failed to understand the Constitution.
