Political Discussion / Re: "Constitutional Crisis"?

A Maryland politician went to El Salv and tried to visit him in the prison. He was denied entry. (wasn't Booker).

Too bad these same types of law makers don't fight hard for the US citizens held hostage in Gaza.  Good thing these politicians don't have much international power like how a POTUS does.  Or we would get trade raped.  This 1 guy for like $100,000,000 or something.

With regard to the college shooting in Florida today, Trump says he won't be pushing for more gun laws.

Info: Shooter was 20 and a child of a sheriff.  Reports sounds like he stole 1 of his parents gun to use.

Some years ago, they cut ties with the NRA. Something like you don't get a Yeti cooler or mug when you renew your membership.

A better test would be to have Proud BLM Supporter on the mug.

Can the 2A forum impose a tariff on members who use the site far more than others, but who don't provide anything of value?   Sounds like a textbook example of an 'imbalance" which needs corrective action.

Classifieds excluded, or course.

Bro, don't tariff my goalpost moving business.  Even though I do not sell the actual goalpost.  But just move the existing one that someone else either made in the US or brought in from another country.

Since when did McDonald's and EEF become countries?  Point of fact:  if McDonald's pays a tariff on supplies and/or food products imported from other countries, then EEF would, in fact, be paying McDonald's the same tariff percentage.

Tariff
A list or system of duties imposed by a government on imported or exported goods.

Do you consider McDonald's drive-thru to be a port?  Is that where they export their goods to customers?

Time to Educate EEF again.

There's a massive difference between wholesale, retail, and consumer purchases.

McDonald's is a retailer.  They buy their inventory wholesale.  Some of that inventory may be imported from Mexico, Canada, etc.  if the US imposes a tariff on imported beef, then the distributor who sells that beef to McDonald's paid that tariff.  The price McDonald's paid for that imported beef was, in fact, higher because they in turn pay the importer the tariff fee.

When EEF goes to McDonald's and orders his 4 Big Macs for lunch, he's paying the tariff on imported Canadian beef.

Tariffs are nothing more than another tax with regards to who ultimately pays it.  So, yes, EEF is paying the tariff on Canadian beef at McDonald's, not because he eats more Big Macs than McDonald's buys whatever EEF sells for a profit, but because trade tariffs are ultimately paid by the consumer/end user.  That's how taxes and any other cost a company must pay the government works.

He's going to move goal post and change McDonalds to Jack in the Box, which still is a poor example.

I have no interest in it continuing but when someone hits me I hit back.
It can end here.

Do you have amnesia? You don't remember telling me to tell you where the orange man touched me?

Do you have amnesia?  Did you not read my post about shaking his hand or a tap on the shoulder?  Did you ever answer with "no, he never touched me as we've never met in person".  Or maybe that's too much of a definite statement to make and you cannot figure out how to play both sides.

Says the guy who had to get in a whole sentence instead of letting the thread die or go back to the topic.

And here's a sentence just instead of letting a thread go die or back to topic.

Why are you questioning the integrity and accuracy without anything to base it on?  One or two previous reports having errors WHICH WERE ADMITTED TO AND CORRECTED does not mean all future reports will have errors.

Remember, Musk's team is acquiring the data from the people managing the programs and agencies being audited.  It's not a stretch to believe an agency unable to account for billions in allocated funds might not have perfect bookkeeping.

One thing worse than releasing an inaccurate report is having the report's accuracy questioned before anyone ever reads it.  Musk doesn't have to be perfect.  He's being transparent.  Any errors can be quickly identified and corrected with more eyes on it.

Just stop.

One would say that correcting an error shows integrity.  Many don't correct errors or admit when they're made. #integrity

Didn't know integrity and accuracy were irrelevant to you. I guess that explains a lot.

Yes, there are a number of examples to believe DOGE reports are incorrect.

What are the implications? Loss of trust not to mention the irony of the office thats supposed to root out waste and fraud being wasteful and fraudulent.

There's that "integrity word", which you don't understand what it means. Brb, going to 7-11 for integrity.

Who are you addressing?

Why are you posting your comments here?  There are already threads addressing the tariffs.  Rebuttals to your criticisms and opinions here already exist there.

Maybe you were tired of being proven wrong, so you decided to start your own Trump-bashing thread disguised as a poll.

Nothing you do surprises me.  Never wrong -- Never apologetic.

He lost having the last word in other threads, so stating a new one is his new method to get a good feeling.

I didn't say they have to be reciprocal or fair. I said Trump is being dishonest by claiming his tariffs are reciprocal or fair. Trump is engaging in protectionism, these are, ironically, traditionally liberal political stances.

There is a trade deficit between me and Mcdonalds. I have bought many burgers from them but they never buy anything from me but that's ok because trade doesn't have to be equal on all levels. McDonalds isn't unfair to me or cheating me out of my money because they don't buy stuff from me directly proportional to how much I have bought from them.

As it pertains to China I do support more aggressive tariffs on China but not because of the deficit rather because of their aggression, their IP theft, and a number of other factors. That is entirely different than the tariffs on our friends and neighbors.

Another poor example.

So someone claims you are in a gang now the burden is for you to prove you aren't... how do you prove a negative? Wonder if he had a chance to cross examine the source of the claim...

Criminal gangs like MS13 don't only kill other members of gangs FYI.
The background, according to the court records, his family stated that the gangs were extorting the family and threatened to kidnap or kill Garcia.

Police report from 2019 states he was with MS13 gang members when the interaction took place.

It stated he has multiple tattoos that gangs commonly use and went into detail of said tatts.  It also specified that a certain tatt he had meant he wasn't a low level member, but instead a higher ranking member.

He was also pulled over and had 7 illegals in his car. Maybe he was coming from Home Depot and needed laborers to build a deck?

2022 report from Homeland also states he's a gang member. I didn't read the details of this report so IDK what they used to come to this conclusion.

The USA is also paying $6 million to El Salvador to hold prisoners. If Trump wanted him released the president of El Salvador would most certainly comply.

Releasing him back to the custody of the USA wouldn't be smuggling by any stretch of the word.

The El Salv pres said "like smuggling" as an example.  Maybe they know more info on him than the US does.  Hence his comment.

I think I saw an article saying that the retard Corey Booker wants to fly to El Salvador to bring him back.  If only your DNC politicians cared for Americans more.

So update on the fact that casinos are trying to squeeze every penny out of you;

Recap
Precovid, downtown was known for their $5 tables for all games.  After covid, they 1 by 1 went to $15 tables with Golden Nugget being the last to increase.

The strip, $10 tables were the norm, but you could find a $5 table hear and there.  Excluding the fancy places like Wynn/Bellagio.  But even those fancy places had $15 tables often.  Now the strip is $15 is the norm and $25 for the higher end casinos.

The strip has introduced triple zero roulette slowly over the past 2 years or so.  And since Covid, most 3:2 Blackjack tables for non-high limit are all 6:5 now.

Palms was the first to guarantee at least 1 $5 craps and BJ table.  Prior to this, their tables were $15.

All high limit rooms have single zero roulette aka European roulette.  But since it's in high limit, the min is often $50 and even $100 at times.  Compare to the double or triple zero roulette on the regular casino floor can be $15 min.  Single zero on the regular casino floors have disappeared post covid.

Update:

Palazzo has single zero roulette that isn't high limit.  This is huge as Palazzo is a fancy place. I wonder if others will follow to go back to single zero.

Maybe hes doing a good job and maybe hes doing an average job and maybe hes doing a bad job.

Its also possible hes doing a slighlty good job.

Its possible hes doing a slightly bad job .

If trumps job is iffy and if its a good or bad job, depends on the stance of the potential strawman argument or non strawman. But then it could depend on a story about an icee machine that may or may not serve cold vanilla or non vanilla flavor as an example

My friend hasn't been to Vegas in a while. He asked if players cards are still a thing and asked if he should bring his Stardust one.

A quick google search found that:

The president of El Salvador said he will not send him back to the USA.  "It's like smuggling a terrorist into the USA".  So he's thinks this guy is no good.

I mean, does the US now have to invade El Salvador and break him out of prison using Delta?

And you call yourself a member of the tinfoil hat community!   :geekdanc:   :tinfoil:

The real story is that his mom and brother are real.  He is the one who isn't real.  The real BJ is in hiding and this imposter is trying to steal all his stuff.  Before his family can block the imposter, he's being first to saying that they aren't real.

And that's why I'm President of the Tinfoil Hat Club.
