She's got me, so yeah. That is to say, all my guns are hers somehow.

A full 16” or a pin and weld ?

Today around 1230, 5 in front of me, 5 or 6 in line when I left. Renewed rifle and applied for CCW. had all forms filled and ready prior to arriving, had to hand fill the carbon copy version there for the long gun. Took about half an hour. They were very professional and cordial.

For CCW:
Needed the CCW form.     https://www.honolulupd.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/LTC2018Application.pdf

Doctor information form    https://www.honolulupd.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/medicalinformation_HPD089R05_13.pdf

Med record form                https://www.honolulupd.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/mentalhealthwaiver_HPD089AR02_14yellow.pdf

PTA Form (did not select long gun or handgun blocks). https://www.honolulupd.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/SOHFirearmsApplicationQues10_2017-1.pdf

Copy of hunters Ed or handgun training affidavit
Copy of handgun registration
Two passport photos

Extra I also submitted copy of my AZ nonresident CCW license

So print two copies of all the forms, one set for the renewal and one set for the CCW

I think I'll wait to buy and register on black Friday. Hopefully everyone else is being dragged around by their wife's and gf so they'll be too busy to stand in line

You might be disappointed because of several potential scenarios:
* by then, no one is gonna wanna be a cop. The shortage will effect the gun registry window badly.
* The cops have wives who 'll wanna go shopping also on Black Friday
* The place (HPD) could be closed that day, so that all the employees could go shopping, which is more important than registering guns.  :shaka: 'm just kidding you man, ah?

I don't think you have to worry about offending him.  That was posted almost 10 years ago.

Yesterday at 1030, no line, just 1 military guy in the room registering several firearms
I waited over 30 minutes for hpd to explain processes to this guy. Should not take this long unless hpd us trying to be slow. You gotta put forth great effort to move this slow
All I wanted was my PTA paper
After about 35 minutes waiting at the door, finally a cop comes out and asks for ID for anyone picking up PTA
I wait another 15 minutes for my paper
50 minutes to pick up a paper. BS!!!
If they moved any slower, they would be moving backwards
I saw other cops behind the window but they must have been on their break bc they certainly were not working
That's why permits are all backed up, lazy people, that's why
But nothing new, same old BS  :grrr:

Next time carry a malasada or manapua box (hold it up in plain sight).  You'll get their attention immediately!

Before leaving, dump the empty box in the trashcan!

They are in no rush. When I went earlier this week to the left side, there was 2 cops at the window. 1 wash helping someone. The other was chatting, making big hand gestures, and laughing up a storm with his coworkers who were at the desk behind them. It didn't look business related, but I could be wrong. But after a few mins, he then called me in.

When I went to HPD to apply for a permit Wednesday 1/25/2023. There was only 1 person ahead of me at 1030am. But after I finished my paperwork and background check around 11:20, there was a line 7 people deep.

Went over to HPD to submit for a permit to acquire today, got there at 10:10AM found a stall with an hour on the meter, then no one in line at either permits/registrations). Had all available docs pre filled (besides signatures & dates); was done in less than 10 minutes.

Went on Friday morning, 5 people ahead of us. Had a pleasant mix of young and old, men and women in line. Took about 90 minutes. Had maybe 10 people behind when we left. The CC permits take extra long per person with all the paperwork. Had 2 friendly and helpful female officers working the windows

My friend went on MOnday.  Took him 4 hours for his PTA.  Also he prefilled the paperwork that's on the HPD website. He had to re do all of them in person as those are not the updated forms.  Had about 8 people infront of him.

This is his first gun, so I told him "welcome to the HPD screwing you club".

@changemyoil66

wut?

the Firearms Application Questionaire form is dated "AG Revised 3/2023", the yellow form (mental health) and the medical waiver are from 2013.

is the 3/2023 form already out-of-date?  or did he have a previous version?

I went in Tuesday to apply for a PTA. 2 people in the line. Waited about 15 mins. Then submitting the forms took less than 10. I pre filled the forms from the hpd website.  Fairly painless.
