Anyone been underneath our sewer systems in the islands?

Wonder if it a good route of bugging out if ever topside was chaotic

Personally, I'd rather fight it out on the chaotic surface rather than risk getting lost in a tunnel of toxic waste. But if you got a sewer map and can navigate it, then definitely get a gas mask and chemical suit like GreenStomper said. The methane gas levels in there are probably lethal....

Depending on whether it is a main or not, the sewer pipes can be large enough to navigate. Other branches are large enough to crawl through and others not. I wouldn't do it personally as you are risking your life or at the minimum contacting things like hepatitis. Which can kill you.

No.

It's also a hugely bad idea.  With the spaces being confined and sewer you run the serious potential for being caught in pockets of gasses, some of which can dull your sense of smell to the point where you don't realize their levels are rising.  Piping is also too small to realistically be used.

Even the storm drain system in general would be a bad idea.

I thought that was just an urban legend. Were you in Florida?

The majority of the sewer systems are sealed and filled with accumulated waste. Unless you plan to use a level 4 biosuit, it's not an option if survival is your goal.

BUT if you mean the storm drains? I used to explore those as a kid. Getting around is possible, but only if you're hobbit sized (most lines are 42"). Anyone of average height can expect to be crouched or crawling. Not the best way to travel, but it can be done.

I like the idea of chucking firecrackers into the system when people are in there.  Good fun on 4th of July and New Years....................also when the cats enter............
