Can you provide more info? What do the volunteers do? If we provide firearms how do we lend it out? Do we mark our names? What happens if it get's damaged? Do we provide the ammo for the firearms we provide? Are there any liability forms if someone was to get hurt using our firearms?
Google it cause every question is a dumb question.

volunteers will be monitoring shooters, loading mags, helping people choose weapons to try, doing secondary safety briefings
providing security, refreshments, taking scrip, helping in the airsoft venue

we are providing ammo
firearms are donated for our use, we will be maintaining them and troubleshooting them as needed
we will log and mark all donated items, and they will be returned
you need to be aware that they will be run hard
there is an overall liability policy from HRA covering the whole event (and everyone participating needs to sign waivers too) plus HDF has a liability policy too that will be secondary

Mac,

Since you're hooking me up with your gold assayer, I will donate 5% of whatever I get to HDF.

It's only a few gold chains, but should be something decent.

Sorry, will be on the road during the event :grrr:

Gold prices sucked, so I'm donating 10%..... not much, but I'll beat Gongho's donation!!!

Hey Macsak,

What's the itinerary for that weekend? Tell me what you need and when. I'd like to volunteer where available. If you're looking for firearms for visitors to shoot, let me know what you're interested in and I'll see what I can bring.

Hey Macsak,

What's the itinerary for that weekend? Tell me what you need and when. I'd like to volunteer where available. If you're looking for firearms for visitors to shoot, let me know what you're interested in and I'll see what I can bring.

friday afternoon we will be setting up tents, tables and chairs
saturday and sunday we will need help with watching the shooters, loading mags, taking scrips, assisting the attendees, food/refreshments
of course, setup and cleanup
we will have to clean and maintain the weapons (at least boresnake/lube on saturday night and better cleaning sunday)

shooting is from 10-4 both days, but we will need help setting up, especially sat am
and cleaning up, especially sun pm

our biggest need right now is manpower on sunday
but whenever you are available to help would be great, arclight

mahalo for helping HDF

Dang wish I knew there was an airsoft venue, I just sold my KWA M16 a couple months ago and gave the guy probably 20,000 BBs.  I still have my pistol and I think a can or two of green gas that I could loan out if needed.  The regular cap mag has a slow leak in it but the high cap mag worked fine last I shot it (which was a while ago).  If you guys want to use anything, let me know.

As for volunteering, still trying to decide on what to do.  I'm a relatively new shooter and I want my wife to try out different guns so I actually want to participate in the event but I'm thinking I can help with setup or cleaning on Saturday.  For cleaning, I'm only familiar with the AR-15 as it's the only gun I own (so far ).

macsac,

I'll be at the HRA venue but have a few guns I can loan for your venue if you need. PM me if you're interested.
