I'm looking for a quality shooting glove for my daughter. The last one she had didn't last long and I'd like to get another one. Any suggestions?

Your suggestion is always appreciated. Mahalo

In addition to what OldF suggested, be sure to wear safety glasses.

No Way, they didn't just release him? Oh, yea, they have him for a parole violation.  That's more important.

Hunting / Re: Road Pics

Got this picture as we were leaving Bellows yesterday.  This female was very skinny and hungry.  The right front  foot had it's normal set of hooves (Cloven and Dewclaws) plus an extra two hoofs and one dewclaw hanging on the inside of the leg just above the ankle. Yup, a total of seven hooves on one leg.  Interesting features.

This picture was taken past the second bathrooms  prior to the guard shack Kailua side.

Thank to all for your replies, I knew there would be a lot of good discussion but I'm somewhat taken back by the acceptance of injury.  The stories shared leads me to believe that safety is conditional and that we need RO to monitor us because we can't safely monitor our selves without someone telling us.  Why then is it mandatory to wear hearing protection and safety glasses, doesn't it make sense too? Wouldn't it suck if we were told that we could only single load? Why wait for that to happen? I'm bummed that the range shrunk to 100 yds. Cause and effect.

Call me a blowhard, maybe in my initial post, I should have used a softer word then mandatory, but the bottom line that I'm suggesting is to practice better safety before we loose our privilege to shoot.  Remember there are a lot of groups tying to keep us from bearing arms, I don't want to give them more reasons to stop us.

All it takes is one incident, as we saw happen.

Aloha

As the subject states, your at KKH rifle range and someone on your left is shooting some sort of semi-auto rifle and shells are flying everywhere.

I'm trying to be open about this and I can't be the only one this has happened to, but I'm having a hard time and don't want to offend anybody.

Simply put, is it feasible to make it mandatory to require a shooting net or barrier of some sort -at least when shooting semi's where the shells come out with force and are hot.

Your thoughts?

I'm curious what the out come was; did you get the hand gun registered?

If you have one, try using a feeler gauge.  It should keep you in the ballpark at least for smaller measurements.

I would be interested in hearing about any one's experience as well. I have been looking at the new powders and I would like to try some of them. Unfortunately, I am not sure they have been available over here yet?

FYI, I jus bought a pound of IMR 4451 from WGS.

Does anyone here have any experience using IMR4451 ENDURON? I thought I'd try it on my wife's Browning 243 BAR with either Sierra's 100 gr or Ballistic Tips @ 95 gr. either way I thought it would be a good discussion.

I have a great idea, have him meet with you at the Kaneohe police or Fire station, Kaneohe Shopping center.

If you plan on meeting with him again be sure you have company.

This might be a blessing in disguise.  I don't think parts are too expensive and after you get it sighted in you'll know as much as you need to about taking it apart.   It might still be a deal for you in the end and hopefully a tact driver at that.

Good luck.

General Discussion / Midwest gun works
« on: October 13, 2014, 05:48:13 PM »
Hey all,

Anyone have any experience with Midwest Gun Works? Seems Browning Arms refers customers to Midwest for general work and repair.

If any, what were your impressions, good, bad, indifferent?

Thanks

I hunt with 25-06 and 270.  WIll start kids with a 243.

What grain of bullet should we use?????

From my training knowledge and experience ??? I'd go with no less then 100gr for the 243. For the 270 stick with 150gr.

While you'll get other great ideas from other shoots and hunters, these grains work for me.
