But as for the OP ..

I ordered some ar15 30 rd mags a couple weeks ago and its on its way.

I checked today... Put in cart etc... And it works but didnt order. If theres a problem.. When you choose shipping method it'll prevent you from going any further.
Ask me how I know?😂

This is midway.

You’re right, midway accepted my order. I must have been mistaken about them. Gunmagwarehouse has always been my go to.  Thanks

A couple years ago the attorney general sent letters out to the internet retailers saying that high cap magazines were illegal in Hawaii and they shouldn't be shipped here. A lot of the companies didn't want the fight or didn't look closely at the law and no longer would ship to Hawaii. Even if it is for a rifle and perfectly legal they seem to not be willing to ship.

Bummer.  I probably got enough mags to last me a lifetime. Just wanted to test out some new 22lr mags and drum with my CMMG conversion.  I tried gunmagwarehouse, primary arms and midway. None would ship them. All 3 of them shipped to me before. Going to try optics planet and  gunbroker as a last resort.

I’ve ordered many rifle mags over10+ rounds the past few years. Tried to order more from 3 different websites last week, but it seems they won’t ship to Hawaii anymore.  Is this because of the new bill that hasn’t passed yet?  I see them available in LGS.

General Discussion / Re: 4 years of CCW in Honolulu
« on: November 21, 2023, 11:13:20 PM »
I just renewed my CCW on the Big Island. PD said they will honor it and it will be valid until November 2024 even with the new rules. Hopefully they get all the new requirements and approved instructors squared away by then. Sucks that I have to redo all the trainings again but it is what it is.

Anyone with a CCW permit tried qualing and applying with a second pistol? If so, do you get it right then and there or do we wait another 4 or more months for another CCW permit?

I got 2. Had to fill out a whole new application and wait another 30 days. Big Island.  The second license says Concealed carry only in red letters. My first one doesn’t say concealed or open.  Maybe that means I can open carry too 🤷🏼‍♂️, or maybe they just forgot to put concealed only.  When I applied there was no option to select concealed or open.

Go to home depot and buy a 12”-24” adjustable paint stick. That way you can adjust it on the fly. If comes in handy if you shoot multiple firearms since you can adjust the hight for each gun.

Did you end up getting one?  How is it?

I'm curious what the out come was; did you get the hand gun registered?

Next time i go to my aunties house i have to get the serial number so i can have HPD run it.  PD said she probably just don't remember registering it.

she bought from SEC right across hpd and took it straight home. Maybe she just doesn't remember registering it. I'll call hpd on Monday to see if it's registered. If it's not  I wonder if they're gonna make her take the safety course. I'm going to make her take anyway since she has no idea how to use the gun.  She bought it 30 years ago and today she asked me to teach her how to use it. Smh...

My aunty showed me her revolver she bought roughly 30 years ago she claims. She bought it them took it home and been in storage ever since.  She said she doesn't remember ever taking it to the PD to register it so i wanted to know if registration was required back then.  She never took a safety course so  has no firearm affidavit.  Can she legally have this gun? Does she need to get to take a safety class then go get it registered?

I had an excessive speeding ticket.  82mph in a 55. Anything over 80mph is excessive speeding. I fought mine and they resuced the ticket to 79mph so it was just a normal speeding ticket.
