I had a Tisas stainless HP clone; it never functioned reliably, regardless of what the fanboys said.  Down the road it went.

I've seen the Girsan M9 clone in a LGS, it looked well made (but then again so did the Tisas).  I hope their HP clone turns out to be a good one.  FWIW my Mk.III shoots very well, as does my 70s vintage HP with the "beer can" sights.

A few years ago my friend had a Girsan 1911 in 45. It looked well made. If I remember correctly it was ammo sensitive. I wish well for all firearms manufacturers that sell into the US market. I only want to see well made reliable firearms sold here.

I love my “70s vintage HP with the “beer can” sights. Mine is ammo sensitive. I only shoot ball ammo out of it but I make X-Treme 115gr RN practice ammo that doesn’t feed properly a lot of the time in my HP. I make the same round with 115gr Sierra heads and they feed 100%. I have not tried X-Treme 124gr RN yet. But the Sierra 125gr rounds I make feed 100%. The rounds I make that don’t feed well in my HP I made specifically for my AR-9 pistol. So I’ll shoot those up in the AR. But as luck would have it, my brother found about 200 rounds of Sierra 125gr RN heads that were my father’s so he gave them to me. I loaded them up and marked them specifically for the HP. The only thing I can think of is that the shape of the X-Treme 115gr RN is causing the feeding issue. They are slightly pointy compared to the 124gr X-Treme and 125gr Sierra.

I have a Girsan Regard , a Beretta clone. Feels good quality. Fired about 800 rounds of both factory and reloads and have never had a hiccup. I wouldn't hesitate to get another GIrsan,
