Something i really needed.
I was without a printer for over 6 months. My laser printer died, and I couldn't justify the expense at the time to replace it.
I borrowed my son-in-law's until he moved out in February. Then I used the UPS store to make copies and print files as needed. Not very convenient, but affordable.
Then I finally had the money and bought another HP All-In-One color Laserjet at COSTCO. It cost about what i paid for the previous HP laser that died after 7 years.
That was October. Last week, COSTCO had the printer discounted $100. I also received my COSTCO annual rebate certificate in the mail last week.
So, after taking the printer back, I got a brand new one (again) for $204 out of pocket versus $518.
But wait! There's more!
I have USAA car insurance, and every year they send out rebates to customers as a refund of premiums paid should the company have a good revenue year. That deposit into my bank account more than covers the $204 I put on my COSTCO VISA.
Basically, i got the printer I wanted for nothing out-of-pocket.
Better than a lump of coal!
BTW, i asked for a price match adjustment first, but the store policy is to only do that within 30 days of purchase. In effect, they
MADE ME return the used printer and get a brand new one for less!
