Lucas should sell energy drinks instead. I'd buy Temu over anything he sells.

Hawaii is a melting pot of races and cultures....

What if instead of a blood quantum requirement, they changed it to a skill and culture based requirement and applicants have to compete for it.  Speak Hawaiian, dance the hula, farm taro fields and fish ponds, make tapa clothing, etc.  That would perpetuate the Hawaiian culture and traditions far more than anything else would while being constitutional.  I don't see a flood of people wanting to do that for a leased property they still have to build a home on.

In other words have "culturally appropriated" people do performative arts and "white wash" Hawaiian culture to get free land?
How about having people do lion dances to live in "China" town.

How much do we taxpayers give DHHL? and what have they done?

https://www.hawaiinewsnow.com/video/2026/06/04/covering-cost-cost-incarceration-hawaiis-prison-system/

According to DCR, 6.7 percent of the state’s jail population describe themselves as homeless or having no permanent address. About 30% of those held in OCCC are Native Hawaiian. One in five are held for technical parole violations, not new crimes.

Every legislative session, Brady lobbies lawmakers and other officials to address system inequities and push for policies that ensure humane treatment of those in jails and prisons. Among those lawmakers passed this past session involve SNAP benefits for certain releasees, criminal record expungement for those convicted of violations, and keeping those convicted of non-violent misdemeanors out of deportation proceedings.

She believes officials should fund programs that address the root problems that lead to incarceration, such as homelessness and mental health issues.

those people will never lear.

Lemesee…..,

1. Immediate and unavoidable ✅ (yep, already happening),

2. danger of death or grave bodily injury ✅ (yep, victim restrained on the ground while being beaten by a mob),

3. to yourself or an innocent. ✅ (obviously).

Seems like yeah, justified.

But let’s look at it the other way, and say that, for fear of wrongful prosecution by the local Khmer Rouge, you don’t, and they kill your son (or anyone, for that matter).

You forever own the guilt of letting an innocent be killed via inaction in compliance with an unlawful and evil regime.  Some people can live with that, and some people just. will. not. - like the Lifeguard friend.

Good you asked the question - I’m sure all of us ponder this scenario at times, given the degenerate nature of our society today.

I'm sure somewhere in that mob were "good boys" that hung around the "wrong crowd" or made "wrong decision" but overall were good guys....
