Some light hearted reading. Reminded me of "Superman vs Mighty Mouse" from Stand By Me. ;D
Two days before the release of 2021’s most highly anticipated grudge match, Godzilla vs. King Kong, there’s a much smaller battle taking place across my screen. Nathaniel J. Dominy and Ryan Calsbeek share much in common—they’re colleagues, scientists, Dartmouth professors—but their areas of expertise weren’t an existential threat to their friendship until recently. One of them (Nathaniel) studies primates, the other (Ryan) reptiles and amphibians.
In 2019 over coffee, the two professors forged a bond when they realized they could write a paper examining Godzilla’s evolutionary growth in cinema dating back to the 1954 original. They each grew up with the original versions of the characters. Ryan watched the black-and-white Godzilla movies as a kid on Saturdays, while Nathaniel saw them as a teenager while watching Mystery Science Theater 3000. But there’s a difference between collaborating on a piece solely about Godzilla and weighing in on a battle royale between lizards and apes. So when the two logged onto Zoom, a conversation ostensibly about using science to settle a decades-long debate quickly became a way for each to hash out their relationships with the iconic monsters.
Nathaniel and Ryan looked at three main areas that would impact a fight between Godzilla and Kong: anatomy, geography, and intelligence. (Previous matchups between the two titans were used as evidence since the latest movie wasn’t yet released during the time of the interview.) We’ll try our best to avoid spoilers, at least until the end.

One shoots "nuclear beams" out of his mouth and has armor. One has neither
Not sure how Kong ever stood a chance.

Depends which King Kong. But yea Godzilla's death ray would kill Kong a mile away.

Which King Kong you "want"?

The original movie is just hilarious to watch!

Godzilla is classified in the "Fiction" category while Kong is "Action Adventure".
Obviously this is indisputable truth that Godzilla is not "Real".
ie.
"Mighty Mouse is a cartoon and Superman is real"

Godzilla is a walking gun that looks like a lizard

I loved Godzilla ever since I was a kid. But I also love underdogs and King Kong is definitely an underdog considering Godzilla has a nuclear death ray and body armor while Kong only has super strength and the courage and balls to go with it.
The movie kinda hinted at this if these two ever fought to the bitter end.

Well GZ can just light Kong on fire. So easy win.
Don't get me started on Pacific Rim where all you need is a spear or sword and Kaiju taken care of easily.

Dude, Godzilla can't hit what he can't.... oh. Crap. He just hit Kong. Yep. Burned him right up. I guess giant apes ain't as agile as one would think.

Ha ha!! That video is sooo funny! But hit right to the core of how hilariously ridiculous the plot of the movie was.
As long as the monsters were hitting each other, who cares about the feasibility of the plot. Like the guy says, who cares, as long as it ends up with the monsters going at each other, lol!
I watched the movie on that HBO plus thing or whatever. Although the action and special effects were great, the movie plot sucks to high heaven. But I don't think it matters. People will still go to see it.
Even though the events that lead up to the showdown makes no sense at all, lol!

That guy's channel has hundreds of "Pitch Meetings." Some are 100 times funnier, and others just get .... weird.
I love the catch phrases. Talented guy!

I think up and up between the two Kong will get killed. Nobody has bigger balls nor fearlessness than good 'ol Kong.
But having those traits is not enough when your opponent has armor skin, nuclear breath, and matching strength.
Kong needs to do like Bruce Wayne did in Batman vs. Superman. Kong needs some technological things like a body suit, nuclear cannons, and maybe an AR-15 (not with 10 rnd, mags, lol!) j/k ;D
