As requested from the thread:

Beginning to think Firearms Div. needs a REAL Legal Aid/Consul

...the single-shot AR pistol build.

Note the Bolt Catch is always set to lock.  With a fully functioning upper, the spent case is ejected and the chamber remains open to load the next cartridge.

With this I can load develop, zero, and shoot at Koko Head.  After that, the real fun comes from traveling out of State with the upper where there aren't restrictions on these types of pistols or a SBR if you know someone that has one.

Nice looking single shot AR.

As soon as enough of these get registered, Hawaii will change their laws to include "anything that remotely resembles any of the other stuff we've banned"

Someday someone may kill you with your own gun, but they should have to beat you to death with it because it is empty.

I made it from an 80% that used to be available online at "mogunparts.com".  It was a little easier this way as I didn't have to make a stripped lower "legal" within 3 days for registration.  Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a market for them anymore.  I wanted to do another one "just because" but I can't find them now.

Single-shot stripped lowers are still available at "tactilite.com" but it's rather expensive considering.

If I was doing this now with what's available, I'd weld a plate inside the top of the magwell of "typical" 80%.  I'd also do the same to the bottom of the magwell too so there's no question that a magazine wouldn't fit.

Thanks for the compliment!

Going through the process of making this, I could see the thinking.  The law may as well read as "no Uzi, Mac's, Scorpion's, Tec's, Calico's, Sten's, etc., etc.  Ironically, there used to be a list that specified prohibited firearms.  It's as if these firearms shot missiles from their hands and lasers from their eyes or something...

Haven't done a whole lot of shooting with it so compared to my AICS 2.0 which I have shot a lot with, I would say the AICS is a little more comfortable and easier to shoot. The Eberlestock does fold a little shorter, is a little lighter but in my opinion the Eberlestock is a whole lot more sexier   but hey I'm so totally "tactical" it's not funny  :shaka:
