KHSC used to have the Shooting Sports Fair.
A fun family-oriented day where people could try different kinds of guns and have good, clean, safe fun.
I think this one had a Food Bank Drive collection too.

This was the volunteer range safety crew.

I always enjoyed taking the family to the fair.  Everyone enjoyed shooting skeet.  In fact, that's the line that we had to wait in the longest, but we still suffered through it at least twice!   

If you were thinking of purchasing a new toy or just wanted to do some hands-on "shopping", this was a great opportunity to try new things.  I bought my KSG mainly because i tried one at the fair and loved it.  Before that, I had reservations about the design stemming from no experience with it.

It also had the important aspect of public relations for both gun owners and those with no firearm background.

Too bad it's been so long since the last one.

I posted this before, but I thought it might help new shooters get a feel for competitive action pistol shooting.
This was made almost 40 years ago, so a lot of stuff is different but a lot is still the same.

That's about 31 years ago....ouch
That boy is retired Air Force now and I just loaded some 45-185 gr. practice ammo on that machine yesterday.
