Is the Fostech Echo trigger part of the ban?

That's right.  I mixed up the 2 things.

Bump stock ban was upon signing but has that 30-day "amnesty" according to the police chief. The new 7-day surrender thing starts 1 July.

If you do the "amnesty", Ballard might do a CA and arrest you anyways.

Binary triggers don't look like they fit the definitions, but I'm no lawyer.

"Trying", but didn't right?  To me the definition doesn't fit.  Could be wrong.

 :( He signed it

http://governor.hawaii.gov/newsroom/latest-news/office-of-the-governor-news-release-governor-ige-signs-firearms-bills-including-bump-stocks-ban/

But on the upside it's only a voluntary surrender if deemed disqualified, right? What is mandatory volunteering anyways? Is that like meatless beef?
"Gov. Ige also signed SB 2436 (Act 158) which requires the voluntary surrender of firearms and ammunition within 7 days after an individual is disqualified from gun ownership. This new law shortens the time period from 30 days to 7 days."
I'd rather have a bottle in front of me, than a frontal lobotomy.

I wonder how many will be turned in.  IIRC, so far Colorado has 0, MA has 2, NJ has 4.

Voluntary surrender is you turn it in yourself without LE ordering you to.  You do it on your own.  You have the choice of complying or not complying where there are consequences.

Ige said: "At the same time, we must protect the rights of gun owners and hunters to own and use guns safely. This legislation will help us uphold the rights of gun owners while keeping guns out of the hands of mentally unfit individuals."

he's so fullashet.

Jill Tokuda's IG had a pic of them and moms demand action with the bill.  I wanted to comment, but don't have the time today.

Guys I feel sorry for all of you that live in the "zone".

I and my property are all out and now I have some time to be a thorn in their side from here.

Most corrupt state I have ever lived in.

They are already illegal, unless you are on the way to HPD in the next 28 days to turn it in.
