BTW, I just noticed OGC has a policy now on storage.  Unless you get pre-approval in writing for a variance (like being in the military and getting deployed), OGC will store a firearm for 90 days for free.  After that, if you still haven't picked it up, they will charge $32/month storage fees.

I'm not sure what other FFLs are doing, but storage cost, if any, is another thing to factor into your transfer.  The way HPD reservations for permits are going now, you may need more than 3 months to get a permit and pick up your gun.

Just a side note:  due to the registration craziness we’ve been waiving storage for Guns arriving March or later at least until this is over.  That doesn’t get the guys who have left guns in our armory over a year off the hook!

So had my reg appointment today for 3 pistols at 1130.......but ogc is closed due one guy had training on the mainland. The other guy had food poisoning and Carter is no where to seen fukn thanks guys with the reg out 3 months guess I'll be one of those guys trying to register with an ancient permit to aquire.

As soon as brad reported sick I applied for Covid exemption, navigated the process, flew in Thursday and opened Friday.  So whatever creeping crud Brad got only closed us for two days.  Unless someone waited for the last day of permit window which I don’t think we ran into, we had a couple of customers affected by missing their registration appt and having to reschedule which is already decriminalized.

I can’t apparently apologize enough but I took immediate action to get the shop open because of our customers permits. 

Instead we get bashed yet again.
