Not a weapon in itself but carrying a flattened amount of duct tape has many uses in a bad situation.   Belts with removable metal buckles with an edge,  taped together on a belt can give you some reach.  Also like in WWZ, tape some inflight magazines around your arm to protect from slashing.   Maybe someone can think up adding some metal "decorations" on their tote bags detachable carrying strap that can also be used to reach out.

I bought my wife a Zebra 701 pen. It is steel body, but not aggressive tactical styling.

One could always pretend they have a limp and take a cane aboard. Canes can be very good weapons in the right material.

You could fill  tiny squirt bottle like the mouth mint spray bottle with a pepper water pollution. The pump style would mean it isn't under pressure.

A small monkey fist might make it through.
