Doesn't it go on the Lower? Anyways, I won't have to worry, going m4gery with gov profile and MOE handguard. Basically as light as possible without a lightweight profile barrel, since I hated my last heavy barrel upper with a quad rail.

Yes it goes around the magwell. I just happen to have it paired with an upper with a heavy barrel and quad rail.  Sucker is pretty heavy in comparison so some setups.

I do like the setup (except for the weight), but if you have short fingers it isn't the easiest to actuate the redi-mod magazine release.  You running a BAD or similar on the rifle too?

The one I shot did have a BAD on it. The rifle belonged to another member here on 2a that I met at the range a few weeks back, I cant remember his forum handle.
I would definitely not want it with a heavy barrel and quad rail, my AA piston upper had a HB and quad rail and it was way too front heavy, I can't imagine that paired with the redi-mag.

Personally I really dislike the BAD which is why I bought a Mega ambi billet lower but after 6 months I still haven't bought any parts to build it up. So i still have no idea if it was a worthwhile purchase over the $25 Bad lever.

Quote
These AR 15 Trigger Adjusters are made from Stainless Steel.  They replace the standard grip screw and have an internal set screw to adjust the trigger pull in your AR15, AR 10 and M&P22.  They help eliminate pre-travel, creep and help reduce the pull weight on standard Mil-Spec trigger groups and can be used with many aftermarket triggers as well.  The adjusters can be used alone or as part of a complete trigger job.

Serious question: on average (not including optics) how much have you all dropped on your aftermarket AR upgrades?  Guesstimates are okay, too.

Geissele trigger SSA-E/ Magpul UBR stock / Magpul MIAD pistol grip = around $500

Who the hell dropped that AR into the puddle...don't they know that ARs stop working if they get wet or dirty?!?

Aimpoint  $650
VLTOR or SOPMOD stock say $100
Sling $50
Tango Down shorty VFG $60
Tango Down Aimpoint cover $30
Tango Down pistol grip $60
DD fixed front sight $60
ARMS #40 rear sight $120
Surefire X300 $200
Total $1330 or so

Damn, that was a lot more than I thought.  I also have three ARs that are configured similarly.   :o

If it makes you feel any better, subtracting the cost of the Aimpoint would drop your total expenditure to just 7 bills.... times three!
Not really. :)

I could've bought more guns! Haha

installed a PSA 2 stage, 4.5 lbs trigger
its on the bottom of the pic, top is the milspec one
feels way better just dry firing it, much lighter.  1st stage is an easy take up, 2nd stage is short and much lighter than the milspec one
1st stage is 2 lbs, 2nd is 2.5 lbs
it was $70
i'll try it out soon

Interesting.  Let us know how it goes.

I have a few Geisseles that I bought on sale over time.  Finally getting around to finishing up the uppers on a couple, so will be installing the triggers soon.  Have stuck with USGI triggers so far, so looking forward to the change.
