Btw...
That poi that I pounded made some excellent dessert. You ever went to Waiahole poi factory to grab that Sweet Lady?

We had the fresh pounded poi with Magnolia Ube ice cream.
So ono. :D

Good job on the pork belly.

I no need cook tonight cuz my kid brought over a big container of chili and rice with salad. Woohoo!

Isn't it wonderful when the kids drop by with food?

Chili with rice and mac salad is the ultimate comfort broke mout food.  I literally cry if there is no tabasco in the house to put on the mac salad and chili.

Today is National Shrimp Scampi Day

I know I have a bag of frozen shrimp in the freezer.
Maybe I better use it before it gets too old.

On the other hand, I still have poi left.

sigh...so many possibilities

For today, I made something like Portuguese soup but no beans. It was made 2 days ago which means it's perfect today. I never eat Portuguese soup same day. You need to give it time to release the spices. I  make my own spice blend. For this batch, I used smoked ham shank and added uala and tomato from the yard.
