You can get a PSG-1 for a lot less than $26,000.  Should be able to get one for about $15,000.

Law enforcement is going to get a PSG-1 for a lot less than $13,000.

when they first came out, they were only 5k a peice.  inflation sucks!

PTR-91, most are 1.5 - 1 MOA out of the box. The only downside is having to deal with Hk parts pricing every now and then.

how about Lewis Machine & Tool Company (LMT)  .308 Modular Weapon System?  much cheaper and I hear they are more accurate?

I remember seeing a SR9T in the store a while back...it could easily be mistaken for a msg90...only reason cause we can't legally own the real deal..

What will a psg-1 do that makes it cost 26K? I'm pretty sure whatever a psg1 can do, a knights sr-25 can do just as well.

Again PSG-1's do not cost $26,000, it's more like $13,000 - $15,000 depending on how complete the kit is.

The PSG-1 is not to be imported and (new) it won't go to non LEO's, so you are dealing with a supply that was basically cut off in the '80's.  It was the first of the .308 semi auto's that could truly shoot sub 1moa (almost bolt action accurate) for LEO/military orgs.

Now there are a few auto loaders that can do that, but we are talking about a platform that came out decades before anything else.

It's not inflation it's an artificial import ban that reduces supply.   :grrr:  Damn feds.

You know me . Buy the best thing available when its time to buy. It was between this or the Lwrc reper . I went with the track record of the knights over the popularity of the Lwrc . Haven't really worked it out to farther ranges yet with the 16" but I've heard of some good reviews . Plus the fact that its only a 1 1/2" longer than my Lwrc Spr .

I've shot my 20" REPR out to about 900 yards with M1A ammo from OGC.  Pretty decent performance (I'm out of angle on my rail and adjustment on my scope).  Tried with standard 150 gr FMJ stuff too, the POI shift from the heavier M1A ammo is pretty serious.

Nice as soon as kr3 is back ill be up there . I'll try and push it to my set-up limits . I'll be running some 175 match thru it and see what happened . What type of mount and scope were you useing ?

LaRue mount, but no angle on it.  Leupold Mark IV scope.  Since no angle on the mount I had to dial back to 8X just to see splash.  I'm also aiming at the lower 1/3 of my post.  Way way tapped out on my setup unless I want to get another mount.

KR3 = Schofield.

No targets other than shooting what's already out there once you pass 200 yds.  Metal targets, pop ups, rock formations, etc.

I got an Larue 30moa mount with a NF 3.5-15 on it now same setup I had on my .308 bolt. We pushed that out to 1500yd doubt the SR can make it but won't stop me from trying

It's incredibly difficult to see splash even with a 50cal beyond that 900 yard ridge.  900 ridge is easy because you have that flat face.

My guess is you'll be pretty good out to there, but beyond that it flattens out on the top of the area and you cannot walk your rounds in anymore.
