Came home and put the ammo in the ammo can.  Wife saw the cardboard case box cut up in the trash.  Asked what I bought...I think next time I gotta put it in someone elses trash can.

I always carry spare grocery paper bags in my trunk...that way I hide the evidence in there to go into the trash. Less chance of the wife's curiosity kicking in and overriding her fear of digging in the trash bin.

Told her that it could have been worst.  I could have came home with a case of 223 ammo also.

I don't know your wife, but not sure you're helping your future prospects of gun or ammo purchases.   

That said, you should "test" what would happen if you did come up with a case of .223!

Take or buy the cans when you buy the ammo and re-package at the shop.  They'll be glad to get rid of the "evidence" for you!

 It's done at our shop more often than you would think.   That's why everybody love those Remington bulk packs which were so super small and 1000 rounds .   Way dense though.  Been trying to get that was for a good price for like a year
