I'm just curious if all the "Molon Labe/I will not comply" people will actually follow through with their declaration of non-compliance or if it's just empty words.

Is he a real Veteran?
Did anyone vet the vet?
He may be real or he may be just another phony prop of the left.

He was a blackhawk pilot. He crashed his helicopter and got a bronze star. Not for valor, but simply because he was a pilot and for time in service.

If his experience as a Blackhawk pilot carrying his rifle to and from the bird, bunk and chow hall makes him an expert on firearms, my experience down range makes me Jack Reacher and even more of an expert than him.

awa was the deciding vote in committee for the .50 cal ban
he voted yes because he made a deal with rhoads to do it in exchange for his ban on foreigners buying real estate bill getting a hearing
so the bill advanced to the house where they amended it to it's current state...

Hopefully he learned his lesson after this

Political Discussion / Re: Ukraine vs. Russia

Both sides have conscription.   It's nothing new.  Most major wars have it.   Hell we even had it for vietnam....

We had the draft for at least 6 conflicts or wars prior to Vietnam. And funny you bring up Nam because that was the last time the draft was utilized, even though we were engaged in multiple conflicts and wars since then. Also, you weren't forcibly sent to war during a draft. Refusal to adhere to the draft resulted in prison time.

The Ukrainian government is forcibly removing young and old males off the street and from their homes, then taking them to the front lines because they have lost the majority of their troops to "the enemy they are beating".

Forcibly sending civilians to the front lines is not an indicator of a military force or country that is winning. That is  desperation.

Russia started the war.  Period.  We have evidence on this,   just like the world is not flat.   We literally have video and audio evidence.   There is a reason why I'm posting less.  I grow tired interacting with people like you.   You can't convince everyone.   You pass a mentally ill homeless person on the street,  you don't try and communicate with them.   You walk past and move on.

If they are losing, why is Ukraine increasing forced conscription "recruitment" of men in non-combat regions, while also begging other countries to send their own soldiers?

Forced conscription, particularly the way they are doing it in Ukraine, is not necessitated in a conflict a country is winning.

And no one is telling you, let alone forcing you to interact with anyone on this forum. You can keep to yourself on topics or delete your profile and go to whatever other echo chamber forum will cater to your perspective.

Ultimately it is for the voters to decide by who they elect as those representatives then decide how to spend money. We could certainly go the route of zero foreign aid. Famine happening in Africa? Who cares. Genocide happening in Asia? Not our problem. I don't think most Americans are fine sitting back and letting that happen without any intervention.

I could give two shits about other countries and their suffering when our own people are suffering. And I say that both as an American and a Kanaka 'Ōiwi.

Political Discussion / Re: Kids can have sex changes in Hawaii
« on: February 14, 2025, 08:45:01 PM »
The transgendered kids thing is rapidly declining in popular opinion. Pretty soon it's going to be one of those "what the hell were they thinking" moments in history.

The legislature are a bunch of cowards and have caved time and again to public pressure. It's not their opinions we to be concerned about, but the firestorm of backlash they are beginning to see on the horizon.

If a law encourages kids to engage in risky behavior that doubles their suicide rate, then that throws the whole "keep kids safe" argument right out the window.

You're looking at it from a point of common sense and logic. The state legislature has clearly demonstrated it doesn't operate on logic or common sense, instead operating by their own rules and focusing on their own political priorities instead of the priorities of the people and the responsibilities and limitations of their office.

Correlating firearms to what is largely mental illness will not highlight mental illness, but rather incentivize their priorities towards disarming the populace. They could care less about safety or helping their constituents unless it's suits their needs and goals.

I'm sure by now you'd have noticed that instead of cracking down on crime and holding criminals accountable, while at the same time addressing the culture that promotes criminal behavior and activity (i.e. what's happening in the Westside), they placed the emphasis on firearms. Why would this issue be any different?

Given the 2x suicide rate among the transgendered I think the comparison is sound.

Nah that's also an illogical argument.

Saying stuff like that can be turned into "that's why we need to ban guns."

It's a lot harder to justify genital mutilation and endocrine disruption/destruction procedures when tattoos are also considered medical procedure by the state and present significantly less risk, yet kids aren't allowed to get them until they are at least a specific age and with parental consent because of "danger".

You need to invalidate their argument, not give them more ammunition for other issues.

But they aren’t mature enough to own or operate firearms

https://www.kitv.com/news/gender-affirming-healthcare-bill-passes-in-hawaii/article_6e88ad16-e9d3-11ef-a79d-47453a058cc7.html

Comparing this to firearms is apples to constitutional oranges.

A good comparison is they can mutilate themselves and destroy their endocrine system, yet can't get tattoos without parental consent because it's a "permanent, potentially life changing decision" that is also considered a health risk.

We’re now finding out that the government was paying for Politico’s operations expenses and giving millions to celebrities for appearances with Zelenskyy. Plenty more dirty facts where that came well, including the funding of various Soros organizations and initiatives.

My question is if Moms Demand Satisfaction and our local anti-2A expert-for-hire are about to run out of funding as well.

Billionaires got where they are by spending other people’s money, and I doubt that Comrade Alex is going to be so loose with the purse strings going forward.

I suspect this is the only way bronze star Chris could stay in business

General Discussion / Re: Rifle rack for work table
« on: December 04, 2024, 01:00:18 AM »
I've avoided getting into 3D printing, mainly because of startup cost.  Cheap printers take more work and time to get decent results, and the better printers are not cheap.  Prices have come down, but I know how i am,  Good enough is never good enough!

I've purchased printed items for woodworking, like a dust collection hood for the miter saw.  I was impressed by the quality, but that guy uses a print farm with high-end printers and filament.

I also bought a replacement cog wheel for a pencil sharpener for $8.  A new sharpener would have been $80+ for the a comparable replacement sharpener, and a factory replacement part is not available anywhere.

There are people who will print what you need for a fee.  Just send the files, specs and whatnot, and they will charge whatever they think is reasonable.

I've encountered many situations where printing a part would be so much easier and cheaper to do than trying to find and buy the part, but as you said, you need the setup.

And don't forget: Rep Kila wants to add you to "a list" and force you to get a background check if you intend buy or possess a printer.

Similar concepts to those already mentioned and recommended, but use bike or musical instrument hooks that can be mounted horizontally or you can bend them.

If you're worried about the contact points, you can jerry-rig mounts with aircraft stainless lock wire. Getting them out of loops will be harder than hooks, though.

Are the goalposts being moved?

As a self-considered Hawaiian that you proclaimed in a post to me earlier then, you must be in favor of the restoration of the Hawaiian nation state that was illegally annexed and still currently being illegally occupied by the US empire since 1898.   :shaka:

Just curious about something off topic.

How many Hawaiian nationals who have been "forcibly" bestowed with US citizenships have officially renounced them? I ask because Keanu Sai dodged answering the same question and neither he nor any of his followers accepted my challenge to officially renounce their US citizenship. Even when I offered to pay for their trip to initiate the process, not one if them has accepted.

General Discussion / Re: Trump wins

Part time Gov Green said we will be fine...we are different than the rest of America...
https://www.khon2.com/local-news/gov-green-on-trump-win-were-gonna-be-fine/

When he was Lieutenant Governor prior to 2022, Governor Green worked with the Trump administration even during the pandemic.

“All of these guys, you know, can be worked with, but we have to remember a couple things. One, we have to fight for our own values here in Hawaii. Our values of ohana, and aloha, are very, very important. We’ve always done better than most of the country. We’ll keep doing that.”

Among the issues important to Hawaii’s voters are abortion access, public education, and climate resiliency, which are policies that could come under heat under President Trump. Governor Green says he has protections in place.

“So reproductive rights, we protected and locked down right off the bat in my 1st year as governor,” he said. “On climate change, I think there probably will be a lot more oil drilling in America. There’ll be a lot, more pressure to, move toward rather than towards renewables. We’re focused on renewables for the most part, but we can use technologies. We can make a difference with, lower carbon, energy, I guess, I would say. We have to move towards hydrogen, and we can do those things, but there probably be will be less support for that from the federal government.”

Political Discussion / Re: Let me be very clear.......
« on: October 24, 2024, 06:29:21 PM »
Am I the only one or is this statement the most over-used statement by both biden and harris?

And why would they be constantly saying this before they speak?

Could it be that they muddied the waters and now want to deflect?

In my opinion, using "Let me be very clear....." is because people are asking "WTF is happening under your administration!!!

So allow me to be clear:  kamala is not up to being POTUS.  The only reason she is running neck to neck with Trump is simple:

Tee.  Dee.  Essss.  Many prominent figures in military, business, politics, the despicable entertainment business, and the useless sport industry are not voting for the princess because she is qualified, they are openly declaring their vote is a vote against Trump.

Anyway, here is the latest interview with the princess that wants to be king.

"Let me be very clear..." is an authoritative statement. It's meant to display superiority over and confirm understanding by subordinates or those considered inferior to the speaker. Think of how a parent speaks to their child, particularly when they are being verbally reprimanded.

That's why certain members of the forum listen intently to mama Kamala and believe the gypsy curse word salads she spews after making said statement. Without it, all she has is her cackling after every sentence, which builds familiarity with her subordinates/inferiors, not authority and is not good for building a perception of ideal leadership.

Awesome win.

What bearing does this have on veterans impacted by similar discrimination in other counties, particularly C&C of Honolulu?

If politicians can violate the 2A, what's to stop from this? When you set precedent for violating 1 right all the time, it can be used to violate others.
