2013 National Rifle Matches
« on: July 27, 2013, 04:45:03 PM »
I flew in on Friday and checked in. My rifle was certified today. Looks like over 1000 Shooters for this year. Many racks at the CMP Store are bare of Rack and Service Grade M1s. There are still a number of M1Cs and Ds, but the price is $950 and up. Armalite has NM M15A2s for $999. Rock River has theirs for $950 for the NM A4 models. I'm resisting the temptation of upgrading my rifle. So far, I only bought decals, a old school chef's knife, clothes, food and beer.

The weather was rainy today. I'll post pictures  tomorrow.

a certain SSG who trains Ravens is looking for a few "NM" rifles; Just spoke to him today and sold him a front sight.
Glad to see someone is getting some trigger time instead of e-thugging on the forum

I think he really is serious in putting together a few service rifles to compete in highpower.

I got back from Camp Perry yesterday. No big wins for me, but it was a great learning experience. The Matches are still continuing and results are posted daily http://ct.thecmp.org/app/v1/index.php?do=match&task=edit&tab=results&match=9827

The MSG Robert Mango from Honolulu won the 25th Infantry Division Trophy for the highest scoring Army Infantry MOS competitor. There is talk at the Army Reserve side of forming a Hawaii based team.

Kujo and his pack has been roaming the country shooting for the last month shooting the Interservice Pistol, National Pistol, Interservice Rifle and National Rifle Matches.

There was also one local Coast Guard Shooter.

Next years calendar has already been posted to the website. Pistol and Rifle Matches will be back to back and the World Championships will be held there after the end of the NRA Championships.
