RFK probably lost a lot of independents with that VP pick. What a fool.

Not necessarily. By clearing the way for Trump he could be setting himself up for 2028

I've yet to see any voter stats on how many changed their mind based on the VP running mate.  You'd think that would make the news at some point.

Some believe voters only care about president, not vp.

Others believe while a VP running mate won't help the presidential candidate get votes, the wrong running mate can hurt them,  Again, no data to support that.

Unless there's a better than 50% chance the President won't survive his term, a VP pick is irrelevant -- unless you're looking down the road for when the VP runs for President.  But, that's a different election altogether.  it won't dissuade votes for the Presidential candidate now.

The running joke when a weak/poor VP candidate wins is that they were selected not as a good replacement if the president can't serve, but as an insurance policy against assassination of the president.

Normally with conventional thinking,  people would only run if they stood a chance.

I seem to remember another candidate being talked about the exact same way.

President Donald J. Trump.

I still remember that day when Trump won the election.  I was on site working and the General Contractor came stumbling toward me.  I asked him "You all right?"

"That f*cker won...." he mumbled and stumbled past me in disbelief, shaking his head.  "Trump won" as he continued his way down the hall.

"F*ck yeah!!" I called after him and without looking back he flipped me the bird.

Man that was a great day for meltdowns. Those videos have gotten difficult to find on youtube, btw.

Hmm I wonder why

Why?

I saw her picture, she is quite attractive. I wouldn't underestimate that appeal.

Trump also came out swinging at Kennedy, he might be worried about Kennedy too.

More mind reading?  you need to teach us this skill you have.

Trump might also want to give Kennedy more attention so the media can't ghost him.  The more votes Kennedy gets, the fewer for Biden.

No independent candidate in the last century has gotten enough electoral votes to come close to winning, but they do get enough to deny one party or the other those votes.  Popular analysis says Trump would benefit and Biden would suffer if Kennedy's campaign gains traction.

"Polls suggest" I'm right ...

Pondering the biden-trump race.
There is a thing called a doomsday clock.
It's like a representation of the state of the world before a nuclear war, expressed in minutes before midnight.
Eg. 30 minutes is good, 30 seconds is bad.

In 2017 (trump) the time was 2 and 1/2 minutes (150 sec)

In 2023 (biden) the time was 90 sec.

I think that's a good indication of what people think of our government.
What, Me Worry?
