So I spoke to someone at HPD Firearms Section this morning concerning registration and was told there was no appointment needed and you could go down and wait in line to register your firearms. The individual also said that I had the option to go down early and wait in line for a time slot to if I wanted a guaranteed slot for the day. Being on average you have to line up by 0630 or earlier to possibly get one of 40 slots for the day this is very problematic at best. For us regular folk who have to schedule leave from work and possibly drop kids to school in the morning then fight traffic to HPD your pretty much hosed from the start. I apologize for the vent. I mentioned this to the person and how difficult it was to meet the 5 day law coupled with the current process and Covid measures and was told the proclamation was still in effect concerning the delayed registration times due to Covid and to try and register as soon as possible. Lastly, they mentioned that the registration process was in flux due to the law suit and that they are not allowed to tell you to bring in the firearm for registration. They also said that HPD is in the process of working something out. Overall the person was helpful though seemed very rushed to get me off the line. I hope this helps. 

I apologize for my ignorance but I'm a little confused as far as the process to register goes. I purchased a rifle on Saturday and from what I understand the law says you have 5 days to register. I remember seeing some previous messages saying due to covid the 5 day period was waived for the time being. Is this still in effect? The person at the gun store where I purchased said "to do it as soon as possible". I'm trying to stay out of trouble and cannot find any solid information. Thank you in advance for the help.

     I recently purchased some .223 ammo that appears to be hand loaded. I am trying to fire it from a bolt gun and it seems to be loaded a little too long. I have no experience reloading and was hoping there was someone that could help reseat the bullet to correct tolerances. I am willing to pay for services. Thank you.
