Re. Survival skills
I chat with some gals at work about cooking. I asked them if they ever cleaned a bird, e.g. chicken, quail, dove.
Of course, nobody ever did. So I told them one day I would shoot a dove in the yard and bring it and show them how to clean a bird.

2 days ago my dog snagged à big dove in the yard. When I found it, it was still floppy fresh so I took it to work.
I asked everybody if they wanted to learn how to clean a bird.
Those towny  gals freaked out at the sight of the dead bird.
So sad that these kids don't have any desire to learn even a most basic survival skill.

Foxfire lite?
The difference between theory and reality is that, in theory, there is no difference between theory and reality.
